That it was within distance for us to dine out travels the next day on the autoroute

Sadly the restaurant was closed and we arrived early evening in rather rainy blustery weather and the person on duty had o idea of neighbouring restaurants, so we had to drive around to find something

We have stayed many times and like the location. The beds are extremely comfortable. The rooms are small but adequate. The receptionist was very pleasant.

I was very disappointed that the restaurant was closed ( though the hotel had informed me of this ), also the secure parking was not locked as has always happened on previous visits ( and is an attraction ), and the room was not as clean as previously. The floor had not been vacuumed, or at least not to have been.

Hotel great and good value. My only complaint was the bar and restaurant was not open the evening we arrived. If the hotel did not offer these facilities I would not have booked. We have stayed when bar and restaurant were open and all great! I do not thionk its acceptable for you to close due to your low booked numbers. After a long journey all we required was shut!

I had a none refundable booking. Received an email several hours after booking to advise that the restaurant was closed. An on-site restaurant was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel

The restaurant was closed again, although we were notified in advance of this, for the first time. However, on arrival after driving 8 hours, we couldn’t even get a drink as we were told the bar was also closed. Very disappointing. We weren’t even offered water. On previous occasions when the restaurant has been closed the reception staff have offered us a drink and snack.

Unfortunately Charteris had a power outage. So when we arrived we were told there was no electricity so no hot water, lights or food, so they agreed to cancel our stay and we had to move 50 miles North to find a hotel in Evereux. Not Hôtel fault!

Good location for overnight break in travel from Calais to south, easy to find just off main Chartres ring-road. Staff very welcoming, convenient having bar and restaurant on-site. Facilities and room about what you'd expect, certainly more than adequate for an overnight stay. Secure on-site parking a real positive.

While good to have restaurant on-site, quality of food was only "ok" and no real options within walking distance, otherwise all good

I was disappointed with the dinner. The chicken seemed fairly poor quality and bland. The crème brûlée was nice.

Absolutely superb stay, the hotel is well placed for a stopover on the journey from Calais to the Gironde Estuary. Staff were attentive from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. They were happy to accept our ageing Welsh Terrier, which was one of the reasons for choosing the hotel. The room was large, with superb bathroom facilities too. We ate dinner in the restaurant, as soon as we sat down bread and olives arrived and drinks order was taken. They arrived quickly, as well as a cold bottle of water and glasses. Food was taken, which again, arrived in good time and was delicious. We all slept well, including our dog, the room seemed well soundproofed. The buffet breakfast was also very good, a lot of choice and plenty of it. We checked out easily and the price for one night including our dinner, breakfast is already included, was good value. There is also a LeClerc 2 mins away where we were able to get petrol and sandwiches for our lunch before setting off on the next stage of our journey. Highly recommended, we will be returning I am sure as it is extremely convenient and makes for an easy pleasant stopover.

Staff good, parking very good, quiet area.

Carpet in 125 were very badly stained. Curtain was hung off rail. Walls done in 1990’s stippled effect.Room needs a refurb Corridors and reception also need refurb

The staff were great. I arrived at the end of a nine hour drive and they couldn't do enough to help. Friendly & patient. Offered me a long cold water on arrival. Fantastic.

There was nothing to actively dislike. It's a standard Ibis hotel, so you know what you're getting. Parts of it are looking a little tired now, but it's good value for money.

Carpets in common areas could do with replacing, stale smelll. Been the same for several years now..

Good stopping off point half way down drive to south west France. Very friendly helpful staff. Great restaurant. Had two dogs with us. No problems.

Couldn’t find anything to really dislike. Only thing disappointed with was the evening meal. Both our meals were very poor which was a shame.

Hotel is in good location for travelling back to Calais. Rooms were small but comfortableBreakfast was plentiful and tasty and probably worth Eur 13.90 we were charged Staff on reception very helpfully spoke good English

Room was quite warm and air conditioning didn’t workDespite being told by reception that we could eat our evening meal in the restaurant when we came down 10 minutes later they told us that there was no room to eat. Sadly after a long journey there we had to go out elsewhere to have an evening meal. Perhaps hotel should make it clear that bookings are necessary even on a Monday evening

Rubbish

Was told the day before they had a large party coming so there wasn’t any food available, they run out of beer and glasses, last year they put the sport on this year they said no , definitely won’t stay here again and we have been going there since 2008 not happy ?
