Ibis Rouen Centre Rive Gauche Mermoz

Everything was satisfactory for an overnight stop.

There were some broken items in the room; the hand held shower was broken, a wall light was broken and the hair dryer didn't work. I mentioned this to reception when we checked out.

Restaurant was not open on the Thursday I arrived but there are lots of places to eat just down the road

Was a little bit out of town but there seems to be a lot of development happening in surrounding area so will be more nearby in coming years.

It was a considerable walk to the interesting part of Rouen. We used an Uber when coming back after dark.

Carpets badly stained and noisy air con. Booking.com reserved a baby cot for my 6 year old! Hotel full on arrival so I slept on the floor

The bathroom smelled of sewage, we had to open a window for fresh air and then were kept awake all night with traffic noise.

It's a good place to explore Rouen. The hotel is about 20 min from the city centre, sono car is needed. If you want to go to surrounding areas, you will need a car, but a motorway is within easy reach from the hotel.

There is a huge roundabout just next to the hotel, please be aware of traffic jams. It might be crowded there. The hotel has an underground car park nearby - but to get there, you will have to go into the roundabout again and leave at an exit that goes in a living quarter.

Front desk staff were excellent, great English and very helpful.

I had a problem finding the car park as the entrance to the hotel car park is just to the right of the front of the hotel and the road going along the front is one way, (so if you miss it, it’s a full trip round the block and back to the roundabout)! Very fortunate that there was street parking all the way along from the hotel and a small car park as well and all free parking!

Staff were accommodating with Gluten Free breakfast, extra pillow's as 2 of us are disabled and were in a lot of pain after a 9 hour drive, even gave us options of watching the football in the bar. Friendly staff, comfy bed and parking.

Little dusty in places and the surrounding area bit run down, but in a busy city and money wise perfect. A kettle and hot drink facilities in the room would have been perfect as being autistic and also in pain, I didn't want to people and go downstairs.

Position

The restaurant was closed to hotel guests due to outside bookings. This was despite asking if it was open as this was one of the main reasons for booking this hotel! They did this to us on both visits. Will think twice about booking with Ibis again

Ok hotel to sleep only.

We paid extra for breakfast and we were informed there is a big group staying and we should come later in the morning for breakfast. Based on their advice coming later for breakfast but there was basically no breakfast options available. They did not want to give my money back for breakfast. Don't book breakfast at the hotel. Better to find a place outside the hotel for breakfast.

Location is excellent for the motorways.Always stay here on trips to France.Secure parking and very helpful staff.

Good room size.

Advertised as having air conditioning but apparently would not be turned on by management. Resulted in a horrendously uncomfortable night in a hot room and no sleep, our 10month old baby cried all night due to this and undoubtedly disrupted other guests. Had to leave the window open but the traffic noise was incredibly loud all night. Window also would not be safe if had children who were able to climb as it opened fully so risk of falls from 5th floor.

Bed was so comfortable shower was fantastic. Breakfast was amazing.

The hotel room was very stinky with a toilet smell. Although the room was changed, we could still feel the smell, but not so intense anymore.Extra charge of 8€ for parking per day.
