Hotel Kastanienhof

No shuttle service from airport

clean, quiet, good location (S bahn & bus to airport), excellent breakfast & reasonable price

The room is very comfortable, big, perfect for families. Close to train station, restaurants and bars. Parking in the building is also a great thing. Breakfast is perfect, could have more fruits for example.

The reception and entry hall looks old, in comparison to the new refurbished rooms.

Great location and beautiful new hotel.

Restaurant closed but I understand it was slow season

Location is very conveniente

Shower was tinyBreakfast staff was bad, only trainees with zero idea how to treat customers

Polite staff, clean rooms and a great location right next to the train station.

Location was perfect since we were using the train as our mode of transportation.

The in room refrigorator did not keep our food/drinks cool. Was unable to adjust the temperature of the refrigerator.

The room was very cosy and well appointed. Had ironing, safe and mini fridge to use. Enjoyed having a balcony as well. Perfect location between the airport and Munich. The breakfast had a good selection and was okay.

Personally I don’t like carpet in a hotel room. Wasn’t crazy about the decor. They have a wonderful little spa area. Sad it’s not in use, I reserved for an hour but that was only sauna which I still really enjoyed.

My room has Living room and a bed room, like a small suit

1- Paid Parking had no access from -2 floor to the hotel. Due to not find a parking place at -1 parking floor, I parked my car at -2 floor and carry my 4 heavy luggage s from stairs and got terrible back pain3- Checkout time was 11:00 AM (considering many hotels Checkout time is 12 PM) , when we arrived at 11:25AM to check out, my Room Key did not worked, also Parking Card did not open the gate and this makes me troubles, I think Hotel management must be more kind and flexible to passengers2- Staff was so tough, they wanted to charge me for half an hour checkout delay while the hotel was almost empty at Monday morning when I wanted to checkout.

We wanted to stay close to MUC airport and Erding is a great location. Hotel is very close to the bus stop to MUC airport. You can also take the train to central Munich from there. It is very clean, features breakfast buffet and bar. Some airlines use the hotel for their staff, which speaks for their high quality.

Hotel is functional, not Bavarian beautiful

The stay was ok. Strange admin on hotel - couldn’t get out from parking slot. Lady at breakfast was very helpful - we asked her to bring the milk and she was very open.

Reception very strange - empty. Lobby was quit dark and no people.

close to Sban to city center. very good breakfast with helpful servers.

overpriced

Great location just 100m away from S2 line station and the airport bus #512. Cosy spacious rooms. Nice beds.

Spa is not included in the room price.Air conditioning was very weak, practically non-existent.

Breakfast was excellent: lots of choices, high quality

They have problems with AC. In the first room the AC would not work continuously. It would work for a few minutes and shut down. Then you have to restart it manually. I was moved to another room. In this room the AC worked all evening and into the night. But it shut down sometime during the night, so I woke up all sweaty. And in the morning I could not even restart it.

Location is next to the train that takes you in 40 minutes to Munich center, also next to the main stop for Munich Airport bus, staff were friendly and rooms were clean.

Nice place, nice location, everything concerning the hotel was ok.

The taxi to the airport was late. It was very early in the morning and we have been upset.
