Hotel Les Dunes

We liked the location. The building has a lot of potential and service opportunities

- the room was small and inefficiently furnished. No hooks to hang wet coats. A huge desk instead of a small side table. No room to sit.- there is space for a breakfast room. But it is not used.

Location

Needs a bit of refurbishment here and there (carpets quite dirty) and some color, plants to make it feel less austere.

We liked the location and overall atmosphere of the hotel. The room was cozy and clean. The main bed was very big and comfortable :)

We liked the hotel and room itself. However, couple of things could be improved:1. There was no soap in the wash basin. Only the the shower gel and a conditioner in the shower.2. The fridge was unaccessible, so we had to move two big armchairs around to be able to open the fridge.3. The restaurant wasn't really working. I mean, it was there in the hotel but there was nobody, just the food vending machine and a coffe maker and a table with assorted tea.

We really liked how central and close to the beach the hotel is. We also loved how clean and spacious the room and bathroom were and found the bed really confortable.

Very good room and public room also

No tea making facility in room so had to pay for it in lounge. No breakfast served and very few places nearby serve it. But ok could get to a bakery for pastries. Parking is at an absolute premium and in nice weather can take up to 30 mins to find a place

Bad

I had a really bad experience with the staff of this hotel. I initially booked a room for the beginning of June, but the day before my stay, I had an accident and had to go to the hospital. Obviously, I couldn’t make it for the first booking. I decided to book another room a month later, but at the end of that weekend, we had a bad surprise: we were charged for both weekends, including the first one. Despite providing a medical certificate through Booking.com, the hotel director refused to reimburse me. In the end, I paid more than €500 for 2 nights. Before being an entrepreneur, one should be human! The hotel itself isn’t worth it.

The room was really tiny. We have stayed at the Dunes many times and have always had a generous room for the same price or less. So we were a bit cramped.

Clean room. Friendly staff. Parking spot 20 meters from the door. Breakfast was excellent but in another hotel (5 minute walk away).

Water cooker in the room would have been nice.

Cozy rooms and nice atmosphere, within walkin distance from the centre, the beach, and the tram station. The rooms are nice and calm, clean and with comfy beds. Certainly a great option for a stay.

While the staff provides you with some suggestions on where you can get breakfast, there is no option of having it there, but in any case everything is very close by.

Location was good. Parking was ok.

Met by woman on reception who continued to look at her mobile phone and a young boy who booked us in.No breakfast or dinner facilities. Reception area and communal rooms bland. Bedroom very depressing. No one on reception on our departure at 8.00 so not possible to receive invoice and which is probably why they marked our stay as no show.

Location and room was awesome.

Break fast was having very less options. actually after having breakfast we went to another restaurant to eat.

The room we had missed a bit cosiness

Very pleasant staff (owner?). Fantastic location just minutes from the beach, and very quiet. Owners clearly want to provide more-sustainable hotel accomodation.

Had a room in the eaves with walls sloping over the bed, requiring extreme caution to avoid hitting your head. No airco. Room was very small, with the bed, desk and wardrobe taking up almost all the floor space. Fine for 1 or 2 nights though.The breakfast is brought to your table in a paper bag - the aim is to avoid food waste, and it may well do so. But we were shocked by the over-packaging.

The location is great, just a couple of blocks to the beach , next to the beautiful park in De Hann and the iconic tram station . We had a great time around there: location allowed us to spend the days on the beach and hang around the entertainments around the city. Staff was super nice, place clean and cosy.

The room was a bit small, but was comfortable enough. The breakfast idea is nice but I had the impression that they produce a lot of garbage.

A spacious and clean room with a good sized bathroom. The bed was very comfortable.

location was amazing, very quiet and only a few steps away from both the beach and the lovely little old town centre of De Haan and the train station. Perfect!
