Hotel Rubens

It is one of the best hotels I have stayed in for quite a while. The whole package was excellent value for money with spotless rooms and very helpful staff. And the location was very good for the De Haan facilities and beach. And for wheelchair users the hotel along with the whole of De Haan was well ramped providing easy access.

Not much for the price.

Very good breakfast overall. Breakfast room is relatively small but in view limited guests still comfortable. Guests are well taken care of with additional requests.

Some of the top rooms have a sloped roof which is somewhat inconvenient causing frequent head banging especially for tall people.

We went off season so got a good deal with a wonderful breakfast included. No parking issues at all in the street but that may be different in high season. We lacked the time to test the heated outdoor swimming pool and sauna facilities, so we'll gladly come back another time. They offer early check-in which is convenient. Staff was very friendly.

Great location, staff, room. Bathroom had a fabulous bath.

Beds were comfortable but on the small side we had 2 single beds.

Nice big room and bed. Location is great.

There are no net curtains so no privacy, either you are on display to the neighbours or in the dark with curtains pulled. Our room was on the top floor and very warm. The window was right on top of the fire escape ladder so we felt uncomfortable leaving the window open for security reasons. Also the window is quite low so was very unsafe for our dog but also if you had a toddler.

first thing I noticed was the nice smell! smelled like holidays cotton beach ?cute house! great location, 7 min walk to the beach.

A very warm welcome and a good set of information with the key. Breakfast continental with all you need. Even in early spring they have the pool heated and open.

lovely hotel in close proximity to the town and beach.incredibly clean with a great outdoor swimming pool. breakfast was superb, great choice of food and plentiful.

the only slight negative would be no drinks provided in your room as part of the cost. there was a mini fridgewhich had drinks you had to pay for.

A smile that greets you for breakfast goes a long way. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar was well stocked and the coffee was very good, too. Ideal location close to town centre and the beach.

Superb breakfast, ideal location few minutes away from the beach and main street. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean, warm and well decorated. I really liked the complimentary candies (which had the wifi password printed on it very original and delicious).

The beds were a bit too soft for my preference (I felt as if I was sinking in the mattress a bit), Overall our stay was delightful. There wasn't much to dislike here.
