Holiday World Resort, Affiliated by Meliá

The place was clean. Our room was an apartment style suite and had all facilities required for a short stay. The staff were friendly and very accommodating during the nationwide power cut. The resort is a great place for a family holiday.

The pillow on our bed was too hard, but that is just a personal preference. Other than that which was minor, there is nothing we didn't like or enjoy.

Nice big hotel, good for families with kids, close to beach, good food . Beach club (Aqua park) was 5 min to walk.

Very comfortable and welcoming. The food was great, as only being there for a short time, we didn't have to worry about food shopping.

Possibly the view could have been better, i. e., overlooking the pool area and sea

In particular, Sara Valente and Joana Medina were outstanding in their service and made a significant positive impact on our experience. Their dedication and exceptional hospitality were truly great.

Nice rooms, nice attractions in the lobby (fish, turtles, birds). Lots of car parking. Close to beach. Everything was made very easy.

Pool closes at 18:00h - bit early. Food is good but could be more healthy. None of the other restaurants opened whilst we were there

We booked a double room with half board, amazing variety of food both at breakfast and dinner, included drinks. The view from the room wonderful. Huge room and comfortable beds. Free parking but I guess you really need a car to reach this hotel. I d come back here. The interior is something that I havent seen anywhere till now.

A little bit outdated and some things would need refurnishing but not something major.

Breakfast was excellent, room cleanliness was very good. Most staff were good - apart from a couple of restaurant staff who were surly and unhelpful.

Maintenance of mini golf is urgently required.

Spacious one bedroom apartment with a living room + kitchen + balcony. Big breakfast selection.

Not enough t toilets near pool and bar

Its really good hotel with lovely teras, the location is close to the beach but far from cities so if you rent a car like us ,thats going to be perfect , for the breakfast it's a little bit strange I was really missing marmalade !,The coffee machine was delivering cappuccino sweet thats also strange ? , further is a safe place and friendly people , we had a good time

The staff was rather nice, big territory, spacious room. The variety of food was big and tasty. The view was also nice.

I found hair on the beds every day, the toilet was dirty and bathroom itself could’ve been cleaner. There were many restaurants but only a couple worked, others were closed. Pool wasn’t that safe for an active toddler. The ATM wasn’t working properly. Many things, such as booking in advance for some facilities, wasn’t mentioned from the very beginning, so it made it difficult to get in somewhere. And the play room for kids was unfortunately only for older children, so our little one didn’t have many things to do. Location is nice, but difficult at the same time. Difficult to climb a mountain to get back from the city.

Resort is probably very nice in the summer with all the amenities open for public, but now in February it can be a bit dull, as it is far away from everything and if you don't use car rental or public transport, outside amenities closed, sports park closed, except the small cold pool on the main teracce of polynesia hotel and games arcade in the evening, there isn't actualy much to do. We did many excursions and used car rental, so we were fine, but otherways it would be quite boring.Room is huge, an apartment actualy and there was lots of storage, kitchen, big bathroom with both shower and bath, that was great. Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner.

Additional bed in the livingroom was almost unusable, even for a 8 years old child, it was quite small and squeeky if you moved just the slightest bit. Lots of kids running around the restaurant and screaming, at mean-times, the flood around the buffet was sticky and spilled with juices and food all the time, alough staff made their best to clean it regularly.Inside pool extremely small for a hotel of this size. Be careful when you book, because we actualy were shown pictures of the room in a different hotel, with seaview, hotel World Resort which is being renovated now and were given a room in Polynesia hotel, much further away from the seaside, uphill, in the same resort, but not with the same amenities. It was also 4*, but I think it would be fair to let the guests know they would be moved to another hotel and give them a chance to change reservation or keep it.

The Polynesia hotel was truly spectacular with incredible scenery both inside and out. The open space with the trees, fountains, and bridge gave it a tropical rainforest feel. Our room had a view of the hills and a side view of the sea so best of both worlds.The kids loved the kids club and mini disco giving them lasting memories of their family holiday. The kids have been asking Alexa to play all the songs and doing all the dances after returning home. Food was a good variety everyday meaning even the most fussy eaters in our family could find something to eat. Would I use this hotel again…ABSOLUTELY 100%!!!

My only disappointment was the water park being closed for the season but understandable based on it being February.

Sergio at the front desk is brilliant. Room was spotless. Good selection of food on the buffet.

Out of season so a lot shutdown. Locating restaurants etc difficult. Pool closed off. Hotel is cold albeit can use the AC to heat the room. Double bed pillows are one long pillow, so sharing a pillow with another person. Bring your own bottle opener for wine etc

I enjoyed its location that it was out the way from the hustle and bustle but also easy to access that should we choose

I didn’t like that you had to pay €15 per person to use the indoor pool for one hour and had to then purchase swim cap over and above that

Cleanliness and Orderliness: The hotel maintained a high standard of cleanliness and order. Rooms and public areas were always tidy and spotless.Staff Behavior: The majority of the staff were very polite, professional, and friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable.Variety and Quality of Food: The variety of food served at the restaurant was excellent, and the quality was top-notch.

Pillow and Bedding Quality: The quality of the pillows and bedding did not meet the expectations one would have from a hotel of this caliber and could be improved.Behavior of One Staff Member in restaurant: Unfortunately, the behavior of one restaurant staff member (a gentleman) seemed somewhat discriminatory, which was unpleasant. It is hoped that management will address this issue.

Breakfast was really good, a se;ection of cold, hot and fruits etc. The suite had everything you needed.

The 20 euro charge for the spa was there. There was an issue with ants, but this can happen anywhere.
