Michamvi Sunset Bay

Pros +

• Its a beautiful hotel with some good sized rooms around a pool area and a lovely spot of white sandy beach. Its a small hotel but there is plenty of space so getting beds by the pool or a hammock to watch the sunset was always easy. But small enough that if we sat at the beach we could see and hear our daughter playing in the pool. So it really is the perfect place to relax. The staff were really helpful and friendly and letting us check in early after an overnight flight was massively appreciated. The food, particularly dinner, was excellent and something to look forward to each night. The half board is a small 3-course menu with 2 or 3 options for each course and was excellent each night.

Cons -

• There wasnt anything we didnt like. But two things that people should be aware of are 1. This is a quiet family hotel, it definitely isnt the place to come to if youre after nightlife. The bar closed at 9:30 every night (although I think they would stay open later if it had people in it). And 2. The location is beautiful and very quiet but that means that there arent a huge choice of places within walking distance and the location on a peninsula means it takes a bit longer to drive anywhere than it would from, say, Paje. But it seemed a very small price to pay to us for such a lovely location.
