The location and the beach were perfect. The food was not very varied but very tasty,thanks to the chef.Special thanks for a staffs which made our stay pleasant,especially the guy from the bar Mosez.

Basic african style equipped room with all facilities. Good place to relax if you look for lazy vacation. Friendly and supportive stuff. Tasty dinners served at the table. Strong WIFI. Nice swimming pool and gardenQuiet location close to Blue Lagoon with a small reef reachable from the beach/nearby bridge or with boats

Minibar/Tea/coffee station in the room would be nice to have.Breakfast are bit monotonous, but its typical

The hotel was very good, I would definitely come back here if I visit Zanzibar again. The service and food were of very good quality, we took the all inclusive package which I would recommend when you stay here. It contains all food (a la carte) and drinks, including very nice cocktails made with fresh fruits. The staff was exceptional. Mozes, Peter,Innocent and Benjamin took very good care of us and made our holiday an unforgettable experience. Thanks Samson (the good manager) for letting us enjoy a week at your hotel.

Everything was perfect

Lovely & helpful staff. Very accomodating & extending our need. The resort owner assisted our stay. I wont forget the very tasteful spaghetti with tomato & garlic for the win! ❣️

This place is exceedingly overpriced for a run down and shabby hotel with construction outside your window. For that price there are so many better places in the vicinity. It was a big disappointment. However the staff were very sweet, but the place is due a big refurb if they want to charge what they do, and also need to look at improving the breakfast which was mediocre at best.

The shower dribbled water (and was shabby and due a refurb). There was building going on directly outside our window and the. Builders had left liter all around. The breakfast was very mediocre.

All was great ... The beach was very near and was great ... One of the most beautifull beach in area... All was very quiet and relaxing. I recommend this place.

The breakfast can be improved. Some parts of the hotel should be improve but overall was very good.

The staff was very friendly, they helped us for all our needs. The first night we arrived very late around 11pm, the staff was kind enough to make for us some sandwiches and chips for dinner. They made cake for my parents anniversary and for my mom's birthday which tasted amazing. Since we were an Indian vegetarian family, the chef tried his best to make for us Indian food, even dishes he has never made before. A big thank you to chef.The beach is very clean and bright white with lovely clear blue water. The WiFi worked well, it wasn't the fastest and most consistent WiFi, but was good enough.

We had booked a family room which a suite with 2 rooms, 1 bedroom had 2 twin beds and the other had 1 double bed. In the twin beds room there are no stools,desk,hangers,hooks, the tint of the bathroom door in the twin bed has been placed wrong, meaning you can see inside the bathroom from the outside but you cannot see the outside from the inside of the bathroom. The bathroom as well was missing towel rails, hooks and shower curtain. The double room was good, it had a table and chair, the staff even provided us with an extra set when we requested for it, the bathroom in the double room was nice and big. Just the first night we arrived they forgot to close the bathroom windows before we checked in allowing many mosquitos to enter the bathroom. Also it would be great if they could add a fridge, kettles, tea and coffee in the rooms.I would also like to recommend for the hotel to add activities such as yoga, water polo, Zumba, beach volleyball, karaoke nights, board games, etc, to keep the hotel residents entertained and busy, rather than just having them eat and just swim/sleep.

The View is amazing! Nice Hotel and employees, all friendly and kind. I would come again.

The Mattress are not very comfortable, they would have to be replaced, would be better.

We stayed at Albatross Ocean View for 10 days and we had an amazing experience. - The hotel is beautiful, the room was great with spectacular views, the pool and the beach were awesome, the food at the restaurant is delicious, and the staff is absolutely amazing (namely Musa, Sauda, Gi, Ino and others)! - We had full board and it was definitely worth it; the food, as I said, is delicious, with pretty much everything being homemade, including the bread, the jams, the sweet pastries, etc. - The staff was super attentive, friendly and helpful; they even made us some donuts to go for our super early flight and also prepared a very nice surprise for our last night! - The cleaning staff was great, as our room was cleaned daily and it felt super clean all the time. - I could spend a long time praising everything we liked in this hotel, but I can say that all in all, it was absolutely perfect for us, and we definitely recommend this hotel if you visit Zanzibar!! Thank you very much for making our stay so memorable!!

The location is amazing as it is away from civilization and noise, only a few other resorts nearby. The hotel provides what its name says: Ocean view! It's an unbelievable feeling of holiday to wake up to this view as both the beach and the water are stunning and nothing you see anywhere in Europe. The manager Samson is an awesome person always down for a chat. The suite room was fabulous, both regarding size and comfort. Meals were also okay, I would have wished for a few more local options though. There is a tour booking service nextdoor which I can also recommend. Would definitely come back, thoroughly enjoyed my holiday. Thank you!

You have to be aware that there are no shops or similar around and it does take a while on bike to get to the next village. Nothing I complain about as this is what I wanted for my holiday but some people might be bothered by this.

Beautiful, cozy ,boutique hotel with the fantastic long, whitesand beach . The hotel consists of 19 comfortable rooms - all with seaside and balkony with spectacular view . The rooms are clean up every day and every night are protected against mosqumosquito . The surrounding is a garden with beautiful flower. The very nice pool ina clean condition . The restaurant is situated righton the beach and you can admire the seashoreduring your meals . The resort is small and all places are within short range.Moreover the owner Samson and the whole staff are incredibile helpful and nice people. The waiters are very profesional and helpful.,The restaurant offer a variety of tasty dishes and drinks.If I would go next time to Zanzibar I would deffinitly choose the Albatros Ocean View hotel asit consists of the best features for best vacation ever.

I'm a full-time travel influencer and blogger, and I would definitely say that Albatross is one of the best hotel experiences I've had in Zanzibar! I was looking for a quiet place to relax and work from my laptop, and this was really the ideal place! The pool with beach view is absolutely stunning and very relaxing, and then you can easily walk down to the powdery sand and take a dip in the bright blue ocean! The room was large and the bed was comfortable, and importantly for me -- the wifi worked very well! I also got the all-inclusive package for a really great price! The restaurant staff was so absolutely wonderful and sweet, they always talked to me, made sure I had everything I needed, and that I was having a good time. You can also book any activity on the beach, from snorkel trips and surfing, to excursions (I would highly recommend doing a dolphin safari!). Overall I really recommend Albatross! my favourite place to stay in Zanzibar, so relaxing, the staff are amazing and right on one of the nicest beaches (be careful of the urchins)

the food could be improved although buffet breakfast was good, also drinks expensive
