Pros +
- The location was so close to our walking tour of the city - very central to everything. After 2 weeks in Europe, and one meal at a Michellin star restaurant, this was the next best meal ever!!! The duck was outstanding!!! We ate on a Viking ship with really good meals and many good restaurants, but our entire dinner here was outstanding, plus the little dining area was precious. We wish we could have stayed longer and would recommend this charming boutique hotel to anyone wanting a true Eger/Hungarian experience!
- I’m almost always satisfied with the hotels where I stay, but this was really one of a bad kind. I have never been to Hungary before so maybe the standard general is lower, I don’t know. In this hotel everything is very dark, kind of a forgotten building without lights. When you enter the hotel the lobby is dark and with no lights and the personal in the reception is not welcoming you at all, it is like you are disturbing them. The room was not a nice feeling at all, curtains around all walls, you did not know if there even is a window, so strange. The room smelled really bad and the breakfast was not good at all, you couldn’t find something to eat, the coffee was also undrinkable.
- lovely quiet location with great views across Eger. Beautiful room with stunning bathroom and lovely comfy bed.
Cons -
- Nothing!!! It was awesome!
- Was all lovely - would benefit from a gym but otherwise everything you could want
- Room not as advertised. Room was suppose to have own bath but it didnt. When I asked about it I was told that not all rooms have bath but they are advertised the same. that shouldnt be like that. there are not too many rooms in the property. it cant be so difficult to list them individually. Also balconny was quite sterile. empty with just 2 sunbeds. not using its potential. you just dont want to stay there while it could have been nice if properlly equiped.

Looking good. Spacious rooms. Great food.

The food was amazing, 3 course selection from a small menu changing every evening. With only 14 or so rooms the hotel is a nice and quiet retreat on walking distance from the city center. There's also a lovely garden for some reading. Staff were all very friendly as well.
The spa is a bit basic. Don't book this hotel for a wellness weekend, just take the spa amenities as an extra.
Very nice place to stay. Cozy, private and very calm. Great place for weekend getaway
Staff could be more proactive and English speaking. It’s good but expected but more to fit the whole experience of the place
Lovely suite. We arrived very early, like at 9 in the morning but after explaining that we drove all night and my husband just wanted to nap in the car on the parking lot for an hour or so... they opened up our room..... diner everyday was amazing, over the top perfection, gorgeous garden.
We had cocktails, first day it was delicious....second day, completely different cocktail, lot less jummy. But if that is the only complaint.....you are doing it right
location very close to the town
Photos are totally misleading! Room and facilities are so wearout and poor. Bed and pillows are not comfortable. All furnitures looks old, horrable sofas dont even want to sit on them. All indoor areas are really dark. Dinner tables were presetted and staff refused our request to move to the garden area. Found a dead bird on the balcony!!!Booked 2 nites but run away after the first night… The front deck staff asked why? It is unbearable and dont you aware?!! Get a reno and total upgrade!
The villa is fantastic, well equipped, well maintained and well cleaned. The restaurant offers an unforgettable experience where the food is not only very delicious but also well presented.
The check-in greeting staff could be a lot friendlier, a little smile or some information at check-in wouldn't hurt... Okay, maybe she was having a bad day, so I'm not complaining. Technically the check-in was okay
lovely rooms. amazing food. swimming pool. kind and helpful staff
limited parking space.
Checking in process/checking out went well
Ambience in the restaurant was lacking; food selection was quite limited; waitress was friendly but slow, don’t think that she understood much English, felt that we were being rushed to complete our meal within her time constraints.
Rich breakfast, delicious dinner, spacious rooms, large pool, big salon and movie room, short walk from city center
Plastic shower curtain in an otherwise luxurious bathroom, soft beds (although it's somewhat a matter of taste)
The villa is located in a very quiet street - it's very elegant and tranquil with a small wellness (swimming pool, hot tub, sauna) + summer garden available. There is a billiard room and a small on-site cinema. Room looks exactly like on the pictures, clean, equipped (mini-fridge with small snack and beverages, free toiletries). The staff (especially in the restaurant) is super kind and helpful, the food is beautiful, excellent ingredients, very tasty (true for all of Eger, by the way:). This place is a little treasure worth to visit and enjoy.
Nothing to complain about.
The staff was very welcoming and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the tranquility in the wellness part as it was for adults only.
Nothing in particular.
very nice private location close to the center, beautiful view of the city from the private terrace of the room, spa never crowded, delicious meals, friendly and professional waiter
bed was too soft for my liking, tv small and far from sofa
The decor the specious rooms the facilities the garden - all are exquisite
They forgot to mention that we are entitled for dinner and didn’t deduct it at the end from the price
Absolutly amazing Vila, privat, very decent romantic place, i really enjoy the time. Food exelent.. Top of the top, everything was great. Thank U
We arrived around noon and the room was ready to check in! We stayed in Silver Art which was a beautiful room with views to the city and a separate living room. We loved it! The bed is so comfortable. The wellness area is perfect size and we could even sunbathe outside. The restaurant and the staff were exceptional. The dinner food was amazing, the chefs and the waiters were absolutely wonderful. Breakfast was also a wide range and great service. They even allowed us to check out late so we can enjoy the wellness a little bit longer. Such a lovely place and will definitely return.
Super friendly staff
This is THE place to stay in Eger. Superb quality.
