- Amazing location of course! Staff were friendly and helpful.
- I liked the location. It can be busy, bit noisy but that was expected.Staff was kind and very helpful. The room was all right with a small table and chairs. The bathroom was clean and comfy.Enjoyed my stay and walking along in the centre of the city.
Cons -
- This entire "hotel" smells of feces. It is located above a busy bar and the staff there seemed bothered that I asked to check in, reception is at the bar. The stairwell, hallways, and my room smelled of feces. It was unbearable and I vacated the building.
- I think it's what you should expect given the age and constraints of the building.
- Thin walls. Need to close the window to avoid external noise

Central location in Haarlem. There was a bed with clean sheets and two small bottles of plain water.
Thin walls. Need to close the window to avoid external noise
Great location to evening restaurants and train station a 10 minute walk away.
The shower was a strange experience. A solo shower in which felt was squeezed into a cupboard. The staff when my key card wasn't working looked at me as if I wasn't checked in and then the gentleman on the bar started grilling me on the basis of he didn't personally see me on check the day prior.
quaint , right on the square, and about a 15 min walk with luggage from the train
there are 2 flights of very steep narrow stairs to lug your luggage up to the 2nd floor.Very noisy since it sits on the square and people were partying all night with glass breaking, shouting, loud music
Liked where it was
Room no bigger than a broom cupboard sink located at the end of one of the beds kettle with no cups or brewing facilities bed where comfortable and clean but all in all wouldn’t stay again and don’t bother if you have problemWith stairs spiral stairs try getting you cases up and down them nightmare
Location was fantastic and staff were helpful
Shared toilet and shower facilities were less than adequate.
The city was cool
The stairs, the host was not really friendly or talkable, I arrived at 9 pm and around 9:55 am my acces card was already declined/deactivated and there was no one there and the number for the reception nobody picked up, check out could be untill 10:30 am which is very early. I stucked for one hour outside half clothed before they arrived at 11 am.
It was the worst hotel...
Staff struggeling with the booking system or absent. Stairway upstairs narrow and extremely steep. Exit to street difficult due to cafe visitors. Room tiny: shower and toilet in in one (1 sqm), with poor light and switch via a very dirty cord (ugh), no sink. Ventilation there not working. One bed reaching under sink in room, so impossible to stay at sink. Sink dirty, water draining slowly. Room extremly hot, no air condition, window disfunctional (impossible to close firmly), with very noisy city 'Grote Markt' below. Room service opening curtain during day so room in full sunlight got even hotter - impossible to sleep at night. Lots of imflamable material stored in hallway, possible fire exit on same floor locked, no smoke detector in room.
The views from the room. Very central location.
Leaky toilet. No remote (found under the bed on my second night). No lift. Quite expensive for what you get. Room was small.
The staff was very friendly at both check-in and check out. The room was very nice and clean! Bed was comfy! And i really liked those little sachets of hair conditioners :)

Good Location
Stained wallpaper, Faulty electricity, Mold on Shower ceiling, Nonchalant Staff. Everything in the room was unplugged and all of the lights flickered when turned on. Made sure to unplug everything before I left for of fear of fire hazard. The noise level was also extreme due to the location- not something the hotel has control over but still affects the quality. No staff on-site for check out, and no prior instructions were given on check-out procedure.
The location was stunning! So easy from the train station, lovely bar and cafe downstairs, clean and spacious rooms upstairs and the staff were lovely!
Don’t listen to the bad reviews here. It was a very basic room but the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and the fan was a godsend Yes the stairs are very steep but that is to be expected in this part of the world
Location was great.
The plumbing was a bit old. Lights by the bed did not work. A bit pricey for the size of the room.
Location (in Heart of town)
Toilet didn't work in one bedroom. VERY noisy at night
Nothing to like except the location. Hopeless and very rude staff. They waited me for 15 mins for check in without even bothering to look at me. Worst ever experience. Strongly suggests all NOT to go to this hotel even if the location is good.
Staff was very rude, worst, useless, hopeless. There is no management control
Mice in the room
I was awoken by mice in my room. When I went to the reception to complain in the morning there was no one there, so I gave the card back to a waiter of the restaurant on the ground floor of the building, as I was not going to sleep in that room anymore. They offered a refund for the night I wasn't going to spend there, nothing for the first night, but they didn't send it and don't reply to my emails. I don't recomend the hotel to anyone.
Good location, easy access everywhere and most important was clean
Could improve check in briefings
The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to access public transport and nearby attractions. It’s a decent choice if you’re out exploring all day and just need a place to sleep at night.
The soundproofing could be better, as it can get a bit noisy until the restaurant closes. The bathroom felt a little outdated, and the staircase could be a safety concern, especially for those with mobility issues.
