The Swimming pool was a welcome surprise and a life guard to boot. Also the fitness centr. Dinner was very good as well. Rate a 10 on all. Liked very much.

Wellness services were excellent and breakfast menu solid, bonus for staff willing to accommodate diet preferrences. The room itself was roomy with it's own living room which is an unique feature for the price.

The room seemed not cleand - old, dusty furniture and it felt colder that it supposed to.

Never again.

Receptionist was never available as they also do housekeeping and work in restaurant. Breakfast was not ready at 7 as stated. Room had windows that didn’t isolate the cold from outside. When I asked to turn the heating on in my room, I was told they will charge me €10 for each extra Celsius degree.

Easy check-in, kind receptionist, places i needed to get to were within a walking distance. Basically, an okay experience.

I stayed there just after the weather cooled down abruptly, quite significantly (this was shortly after Storm Boris hit Central Europe). It was not possible to switch on the heating in the room. The bedclothes felt a bit damp, although it might have just been the fact that the room had not been heated up. It didn't matter how much I dressed up. Also, I don't think it should matter, when the temperature drops 20+ degrees in just a few days, you'd expect there to be an option to regulate the temperature in the room. Not everyone is accustomed to Nordic climate.Caught cold by the following morning.

My stay at Hotel Áčko was nothing short of a disaster from start to finish. The check-in process was unbelievably slow—there was no proper reception staff, and it took ages just to have our passports scanned, with the added hassle of signing waivers for the police. Once we finally got to our room, we discovered there was no air conditioning, and the morning sun flooded in, making the room unbearably hot within minutes. The coffee machine was broken, which was a small but frustrating inconvenience.But the real kicker was that the spa, the main reason we chose this hotel, was off-limits until 3 PM because they had rented it out to the local school. I was really looking forward to using the swimming pool, but was told I couldn’t, which was beyond disappointing. To top it all off, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the shower was a nightmare—either scalding hot or freezing cold, with no in-between. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable or enjoyable stay.

It was very cold in Ruzomberok during my stay, but since it was in the month of March, staff must have decided the heating season had ended because the radiators were practically off in the rooms (only kept at a bare minimum temperature), so it was unpleasantly chilly in the room, especially at night. In all fairness to them, plenty of blankets were provided.

Swimming pool was really nice, restaurants served palatable meals and breakfast was delicious as well. Bathrobes were included in the price.

Shower in the bathroom should be renovated.

Breakfast was average. There was no electricity until the morning, even though I was told it would be restored shortly at achek-in.

Easy to access by car. Nice staff. Left a scarf in the room, contacted the reception with the request to send me the scarf by post (on my expence) and they promised to send it. Very nice of them.

Easy parking at hotel. The room was small but very clean. The breakfast was simple but OK, the was coffee machine, which is good.

We went to the wellness part, but the jakuzzi did not work. We could not have a dinner in the hotel, we had to go to a restaurant. In the bar there was nobody, the lady fro the reception said she will come 10 minutes later, we did not wait for her, we went out for drink.

A clean, small ensuite room with pleasant decor. Good choice for breakfast. Near enough to walk into Ruzomberok town centre for restaurants. Easy to find from the main road.

I liked the atmosphere and the uniqueness of this hotel. Very cosy and quiet place. The staff was wonderful :) Albeit being couple of kilometres from the center, it was worth a walk. Surprising thing was a really good sauna (I'm a Finn :) )! Breakfast was really good. I was here during the beginning of summer and the weather was great so I don't know what it is like in the winter and during the skiing season. Slopes are close though. Worth the money. I recommend.

Great breakfast (buffet) included in price. There iz a bus (line 6) to train station . Price is high in stras (2 euro or more).

I chose this hotel so I could hike to Vlkolínec and it was a great choice! Everything was very comfortable from the room to the breakfast room and lobby - and for a few Euro guests can use a nice "wellness" area (which is great after a long hike!). Really nice staff and a large supermarket nearby.
