The place was absolutely beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.The place was clean and breakfast was wonderful.Would definitely go back here again.

Restaurant closed on Sunday without making this clear on the booking site, we arrived to a keybox and without possibility to have dinner

Great location if wanting to visit Cologne, but stay in a quieter location in nature. Excellent facilities in terms of swimming pool, gym and outdoor relaxation area (slightly dated but well maintained). Deer at the back of the property and nice walks in the surrounding forest. Rooms are very comfortable and the staff are very friendly and accommodating - we were also lucky enough to receive a free upgrade. Breakfast buffet has a good selection, and food in the restaurant is high quality. We would visit again!

Nice location and historic building. The room we had was spatious and offered a great countryside view. The ample breakfast is varied and offers “homemade” pastries. Very friendly staff at breakfast, less so in the evening.

Nearby a busy and noisy road. Whilst the room’s location (way from the road) and isolation took care of of the noise, it doesn’t provide the “calm” feeling. At the late afternoon, the staff - whilst friendly - made us wait quite some time to check-in. Later when ordering drinks, we found out the staff wouldn’t serve in the garden anymore (egen though there were more guests) unless we would eat something… which impacted our decision to order anything. Inside as well, when ordering drinks, it feels we ordered “not enough”. It felt as if we’d annoy the staff for not ordering “enough”. Not very welcoming and therefore we us and them some time… Paying extra for the pool killed the experience. We’d expect a hotel such high rate would include the pool for free, not so… this is a pure “upsell”-facility.

Excellent food. Nice stuff. Comfy beds. Close to A3 (main highway). Wonderful beer garden.

The hotel was nice, and the staff was friendly.

We stayed from Friday to Monday. However, upon our arrival, despite it being 25 degrees Celsius outside, the central heating in our room was on, making it feel like a sauna. This made us question whether the room had been properly checked before our arrival. Or was it a dissatisfied previous guest? Who knows. A few issues to note:- Do not stay at the hotel on Sundays. The restaurant is closed, and there is nothing to do.- Although a swimming pool is available, there is an additional charge of 7 euros. Really?- The WiFi requires you to log in every time, with either a payment required or a limited amount of free data. It's 2024, this should be better.- There is only one 11kWh charging point for electric cars. For a single charging session they charge € 35,00, irrespective of usage. In my case (39kWh) almost € 1,00 per KW!!- There is a separate house across a busy road with too few parking spaces, especially when the hotel is full on Saturdays.

Just like the name of the hotel, the romantic environment, together are so elegant, everything is so beautiful!

There were 3 floors of the hotel, and we stayed on the third floor, but the only regret was that we had to carry our heavy suitcases up the stairs step by step。

It was just a beautiful place to stay. I loved the tranditional German decor and vibe.

The only downside was the demeanor of the female server during breakfast. Perhaps it was due to the lack of tipping, though I can't say for certain. Nonetheless, her level of service didn't quite meet the high standards set by the rest of the hotel staff.

Superb breakfast, good dinner in the restaurant, comfortable rooms, big parking. Always again.

Very cosy place, good food and nice personnel. Ms. Mirjana, their long time employee, the kindest person in the world.

The size of the room (it was split-level), had a Bluetooth Wifi system, huge bathroom, sofa, etc.

paying for the pool area when it’s advertised as part of the facilities. especially cos the pool is freezing. nobody did show me the saunas

The breakfast room have changed from the spacious round saloon to a a smaller room but the breakfast was still great and tasty

We have no special remarks for improvements but access to our nice room would have been difficultor almost impossible for someone with problems to walk

A good decent Hotel, The single room I had was Ok, the bed was a bit hard but still OK. The hotel somehow gave me that authentic German village feeling.
