Hotel Golden Palace

Location on the beach.

Old furniture. Noisy vent by balcony. They only had one bottle of red wine and never ordered another one, even after reassurances.

Location is perfect right on the beach, and the room and balcony had a lovely sea view. Nice to get tickets for beach chairs. Breakfast was ok, except they had no black tea.

There was no elevator, so a lot of stairs to the room. The bed was extremely hard, and the armchairs were so low they were almost on the floor. The balcony chairs were worn out, and had no cushions, and the towel rack on the balcony was broken.

Breakfast was excellent, unexpectedly varied and tasty.

The bed could use an upgrade. The matress was rigid and the bed was creaking with each move. Because of this our sleep was rather poor the first night and the next we asked for an extra extending bed.

I liked almost everything about the property: the location (on the beach), the breakfast (various and delicious), the employees (very nice), the room (very clean).

The only thing missing to the hotel is an elevator (considering the fact that all the rooms are at the second floor). It was a little hard for my mom's knees to use the stairs. The chairs on the beach were very difficult to obtain even though we had tags from the hotel that we paid for them, even though the chairs had "reserved for hotel" signs on them and even though they weren't yet occupied. The unpleasant thing I discovered and the reason I had a rough time obtaining seats closer to the sea was that the guys managing them wanted to keep those for the people who paid them directly.

I liked the balcony view, the room which was very clean, the bathroom also very clean and bathtowels are made of terry cloth and are nice and soft.The staff is very attentive and are at your disposal. It worth it staying there!

Great location and friendly staff. Breakfast was OK. A second cup of coffee would have made it much better.

The DJ and music from the beach could be heard from our room.

The location is perfect, right on the sandy beach of Mamaia.We took the junior suite with balcony, it's quite roomy and has a balcony with 180 degrees view of the beach.Breakfast was fine.Staff was very atentive.

The hotel has no elevator, and all the rooms are on the third floor, more than 50 steps of stairs to reach there.The bathroom had a terrible smell.The room looks very old fashioned.They didn't change the towels (only in the last day, after we asked) and never cleaned the room.

Very clean, so close to beach, bed + umbrella is free for each person, the parking is free at a location nearby, they accept tourist vouchers/card, you can also eat at groundfloor - there is a restaurant there. The breakfast is OK, not so manu food options but the food was good. Slippers and hairdryer are also there. There is a big terrace that connects all the balcons of each room heading the sea. Nice location as well. If you have a child over 5 or 7 years, it's only 50 LEI per night to add an extra bed to the room and he's also gettin breakfast.

No elevator, there are only 2 floors

I liked the water pressure in the bathroom, and the beach was quite close. We also liked that when we arrived we were able to get the rooms a couple of hours earlier than the specified check-in time.

Breakfast variety was quite poor, and the fact that we had to order the coffee and have it brought to us, instead of having it in the breakfast room, was strange. The lack of an elevator was really bad - having to go up two floors when we just got back from the beach and were very tired was painful. The beach wasn't well maintained (a lot of broken shells and algae in the water). Finally, and the worst part, the fact that the bed was not made / the sheets changed even once, and the towels were only changed one time (in three days).

Good clean hotel.

There was some action with loudy music till l 2 AM.

Location, private beach with sun beds included, friendly staff and good breakfast.

Clean, free private parking, quiet room, quiet private beach (no music blasting on it, but music could be heard from other beaches - tolerable, didn’t ruin my beach experience). Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. Staff was ok, breakfast typical and indeed monotonous. Hotel is on the beachfront.

No elevator.Restaurant downstairs could do with a little more variety from day to day.

amenities, lack of trash cans in the room, no iron , no iron board, no enough pillows in the room, hard and low bed, children like room chairs instead of chairs like adult size

Everything is over expectations. The rooms are fancy, high quality of furniture and materials in general. The sea view is maravillosa. The hospitallity is like in Dubai, over and over expectations. Also I enjoyed the music, and I will remember and repeat this experience as often as possible. Big Like for Golden Palace.

Because will be closed in the winter season.
