Hotel Hefaistos - Mamaia

We booked 4 rooms, and arrived earlier than planned. Hotel staff made 3 rooms available which was more than we expected. Excellent location and breakfast. A place to return to, near beach and markets. Bonus was free parking.

The location is very good, near the main promenade of Mamaia. Good restaurants near, nice shopping area, near the beach.We had a sea view room, but the view itself is very sad, we saw the roof of an abandoned building or something. They should make there a garden . Breakfast very good.

The room was very hot, with the glass wall was like a greenhouse inside; the air conditioning is not good, it doesn't do the job and it was only 28 degrease outside, but 40 inside. Maybe the central station, the chiller was not working yet. All night there was a very bad ventilation noise, we could not sleep well. No curtain in the shower...or place for the towels to dry.

Because of the glass exterior wall overlooking the boulevard/lake, it was extremely hot inside. At nightime sleeping with the window open was not an option because of the traffic noise. Alternatively, using the central air conditioning system continously could be unconfortable to some.

Very close to the location I was aiming for, large room, clean and not too expensive. The restaurant staff has been friendly and proactive

The location was not designed properly for a hotel room and was not functional - only one electrical outlet in the entire room, lights switch only at the entrance of the room, towel rack on top of the toilet etc. Plus, some staff was not really friendly - I wanted to inform the receptionist that there's a mistake in the Booking profile as it says check-in only between 14:00 and 18:00 when actually the reception is open 24/7 and they could loose customers and the answer was " You should talk to the owner, not me!"

Breakfast was good. Not available until 0800, and I was usually out and about before that. Nice variety of foods. Very clean and quiet place with easy access to the beach and water.

Very clean and friendly even though staff didn’t speak English I would deffo recommend for anyone going as was cheap and not to far from everything Ubers were very cheap working out like £3 for a 10-15 min drive

- Hotel parking has very few spots. There are however a lot of city parking spots nearby which are relatively cheap (and free during the weekends)- Room didn't feel clean (lots of dust bunnies)- Toilet basin was dirty on the hidden areas. Looked like the brush was just used to clean superficially- There is no shower curtain so I made a mess after a shower. There are very few toiletries as well but we didn't need more for just a 1 night stay- Beds are not comfortable and one must be aware that "Double room" means a room with 2 twin beds sticked together- The AC ventilation system (central, not individual per each room) was extremely loud. You cannot sleep unless you use earplugs. I have not slept at all.- You cannot breathe if you don't use the AC in the room. Also,.if you open the window, you will not sleep because of the traffic. And you will also get mosquitos- Breakfast is poor and the items are poor quality. Basically the cheapest they could find at the local retailer (tea, coffee, cheese, ham, sausages, veggies). There are no pastry items except for packed croissants (like 7days ones but much worse quality)- Price just after peak season (after 15aug) is definitely too big for a 3star hotel (paid ~420ron/night)

The hotel is located in the center of Mamaia. The receptionist did not speak English very well, but we reached an understanding. We arrived early and were seated fairly quickly. The room is large and comfortable, but terribly hot. The room was clean, it was recently renovated and all the furniture was new.The breakfasts are delicious and varied. We liked everything.The beach is large with sun loungers and sun protection. There is a cafe on the beach. The best choice for this money

We lived on the 4th floor. It's very hot there. The air conditioning system is old and the room took a long time to cool down. Very hot room.

The breakfast was OK, nothing spectacular. The room was clean and large enough for two peoples.

The bed was mad out of two individual beds placed one next to each other, this created a very hard surface in the middle and was very inforfotable during sleep, we also knocked our knees and back a few Tims when we wanted to stay on the bed and forget about that hard surface in the middle.

The room was clean and quiet.

The breakfast wasnt that good, only few choices, no fruits at all. The air conditioning quite poor and the location is nice, however, an old building in front of it makes to look bad.

It was needed to pay for the suplimentar bed even if I booked it.

The location is very good, near to the beach and restaurants. Very well protected from the city noise.
