Hotel Dorna

We really loved this hotel. Starting with the incredibly kind, smiling and helpful receptionists to the beautiful pool and wonderful breakfast. Really recommend this hotel!

New and clean with friendly staff. Short walk to the beach.

Renovated hotel, clean rooms, modern furniture, balcony, close to the beach (400m), good breakfast, has a private pool and private parking. Rooms cleaned every day.

Room was a bit small. The breaksfast was good, but it's the same everyday. Not so many parking places.

The private beachfront with towels, you can leave at any time and return to your beach chairs. The breakfast was also very good, with lots of options. The room was super clean and tidy.

The biggest negative point is that next to the hotel there is an events center and usually 3 times per week they host extremely loud events. You cannot sleep at night because of this as you hear everything through the hotel walls.

This is NOT a 4-star hotel. It is NOT RMP/Disability adapted. I notified hotel prior to stay that I had disability. There are steps everywhere. No access via ramp to hotel room. Hotel old and moderately renovated. Rooms small, bathrooms old and very small with no disability access so for 9 days I could NOT shower. Pool no disability access so I embarrassingly had to use kids pool and no access to beach. Food awful, so many people get breakfast because breakfast free and no one eats lunch or dinner. Dining room disability ramp has table and 4 chairs blocking it. Way overpriced for what it is. 3 nights per week music blasting from hotel next door from 8.30pm to 3am, so loud we couldn’t sleep or hear T.V.

The rooms and hotel were newly renovated, nicely scented, well light and decoared, clean rooms and bathrooms, well kept green spaces, bar service and pool amenities.The staff although beginner, very professional, prompt, welcoming, helpful. Great selection for breakfast on weekends. Private beach.

Traffic on mamaia blvd

The location is perfect and close to all the attraction of Mamaia. The breakfast is very good, rich and satisfying. The staff is very friendly.

staff not very professional,the bar has no nice glasses for cocktails. On the beach they don't serve drinks yet(wea re in 07.07 already). THE MAIN MINUS is that near the hotel is a events hall and the music disturb you during a wedding until 6 a clock in the morning

The staff was very nice and helpful, it's nice they have a pool and free parking and the hotel is very close to the beach. Room was clean, they had a mini-bar, air conditioning, wifi, a TV and a nice sized balcony. The bus station is very close when you don't wanna take your car.

The hotel seems to have contracted a private beach from another hotel, so you have to walk a bit to get to it. Food at the terrace next to the pool is terrible, worst schnitzel I ever had in my life and the waiters kept either forgetting the orders or forgetting to charge you for something. The pool is 2 m deep, which is not ideal if you just wanna chill in it (especially with children...) The breakfast was not what I'd expect from a 4 star hotel, more appropriate for a 3 star hotel. While taking a shower, water would somehow get out of the shower cabin and make a bid puddle on the bathroom floor, and there was no slope for it to drain either.

Everything is spotless in the rooms as it has been refurbished. Nice access to the beach from the pool area. Veeery comfortable bed. Pool stayed opened until 10pm.

Well the smell of the room is not nice as it has brand new furniture. Shower had no Courtains, you risk causing damage to the carpet from outside the bathroom. The glass between the shower and toilet does not have a rubber protection in case of slips. We were given a choice to change room but we agreed to stay there as we stayed only one night but an advice to management, change the layout of the cabin, this is not Thailand. The hotel operated on low staffing and had no restaurant opened or the breakfast buffet was veery poor. We were given an explanation on some chess competition but I don't care about it, I pay so I expect like everyone else. For the price of the room, I believe some food is welcomed. Last little thing, the staff is not trained to give check in information such as the timings for the pool, restaurant area and food timings, which way to the room. But I would like to say that these are small details and I am sure can be improved. Also another thing, silence the phones when you type on messenger ?

Recently renovated and upgraded, everything was as expected- comfy extra large beds, soft carpets, cleaning and changing towels every day. Toiletries also added daily. A/C in the room and also in the lobby. Breakfast for all the tastes and excellent coffee. We booked 4 nights initially and extended for another 2 more - thank you for the hospitality ?

Staff had done their best to cover all missing/bad things.

Very bad breakfast, poor services, swimming pool area not properly arranged and dirty, rooms are not refurbished as for 4 star hotel level
