    Pros +

    • The location
    • Fabulous hotel. Our ‘standard room’ was luxurious and packed with features and home comforts. Excellent spa and in/out pool. Excellent & free yoga classes with Sandra - very good for stretching after skiing. Ski Butler to help with kit, tuition, ski/boot care and ski area advice. Transport to/from Gemsstock lift, and to /from local restaurants. Location ideal: adjacent to the Gutsch gondola, Andermatt old town restaurants, and train station.
    • The Chedi Andermatt offers an exceptional blend of alpine charm and modern luxury. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is remarkable — from the beautifully designed rooms to the tranquil spa and outstanding dining experiences. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely made our stay feel special. The spa facilities and outdoor pool with snowy mountain views were truly unforgettable.

    Cons -

    • Unprofessional, some were not service oriented. My shower was broken and although I asked to repair it, still wasn’t done. Spa was nice yet far from what I expected from 5-star hotel on the mountain.
    • It was all great.
    • Honestly, there was very little to fault. Everything was extremely well managed and exceeded our expectations.

The bed was not very comfortable other wise the room was lovely. The Swiss food at the restaurant was a bit bland go for the Asian food

It surpassed all of our expectations! Fabulous hotel, amazing facilities, great food, superb attention to details and the service is fantastic.

I literally can’t fault anything but if I am pushed then, well, the suits would benefit from a full length (or any) mirror by the door because at the moment you have walk all the way to the bathroom in your coats and boots.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)Stayed: October 2025 – Wife’s 40th BirthdayWe stayed at The Chedi in October 2025 for my wife’s 40th birthday, and overall it was an incredible trip. The Chedi is a truly stunning hotel — elegant, peaceful, and set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Swiss Alps. We stayed in Room 1401, which had spectacular mountain views and a beautifully designed suite

Leaving Briggels/Briels we decide to stop at this famous hotel “the chedi” Andermatt. Huge, big, large… and beautifully decorated. We booked a suite because the difference on booking was small. Impressive like an apartment. Everything is done via iPad. The bedding is amazing. There’s nothing negative to say. A lot of staff everywhere from the reception to the restaurant. But maybe too impersonal for us. We prefer smaller spot. More cosy, intimate.

The breakfast doesn’t look “Chedi” vibes (big, huge, large)

I travel a lot and lots of experience with 5-star hotels. This one is definitely in my top 3. Very large and modern with some vintage touches. Suites are huge and well equipped with tablet to operate everything. Nice sugar bar, wine bar, multiple kitchens, really nice spa. Staff is really good and sincerely polite and helpful.

    Everything was more than good.

    7StefanPosted on: 5-4-2025

Service and cleanliness were very good.

The bed was very bad. It was squeaking and constantly moving as if it was broken. The matteess felt like it was made out off rubber bands put together. Not comfortable at all and not even worthy of a three star hotel.

Truly Unforgettable Stay at The ChediFrom the moment we arrived at The Chedi, we knew we were in for something special. The seamless blend of elegance, tranquility, and impeccable service made this one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had.The design of the hotel is simply breathtaking—sophisticated yet warm, with a perfect balance of contemporary luxury and cultural charm. Every corner of the property is meticulously curated, from the serene water features to the carefully selected decor that exudes understated opulence. Our room was an absolute sanctuary. Spacious, beautifully appointed, and with a view that took our breath away, it felt like stepping into a dream. The plush bedding, high-end amenities, and thoughtful touches—like a personalized welcome treat—made us feel truly pampered. The dining experience at The Chedi was nothing short of exceptional. Each meal was a culinary masterpiece, blending local flavors with international finesse. Whether it was a lavish breakfast spread, a poolside lunch, or an exquisite fine-dining experience, every bite was a delight.Speaking of the pool, it was a highlight of our stay. Whether lounging by the iconic long pool, enjoying a refreshing swim, or simply soaking in the serene atmosphere, it was pure bliss. The spa experience was equally divine—a perfect retreat for relaxation, with treatments that left us feeling completely rejuvenated. But what truly sets The Chedi apart is its staff. Every interaction was warm, professional, and genuinely caring. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless.Leaving The Chedi was the hardest part of our trip, but we know we’ll be back. If you’re looking for a luxurious escape that combines elegance, world-class service, and an atmosphere of pure serenity, The Chedi is an absolute must.

The spa facility is great. Room very comfortable and clean.

The service from the staff is a bit slow and not very organised.

    10KarimPosted on: 11-2-2024

The spacious suite the great spa the delicious restaurant and the cigar lounge not to mention an extra attentive staff

    8GilPosted on: 10-15-2024

    Very good

The breakfast was lacking of variety of products as vegetables and milk products due to the price that was charged . Also the high price of the evening restaurant did not Mach the expectation for excellent menu . And finally we had to wait a long time for the reservation in the bar or lobby

Perfect hotel if you have a baby! We had a crib, a baby sterilizer, bottle warmer, special baby amenities for baby bath. Everything is so children friendly and we loved it.Fantastic staff that go above and beyond (special thanks to Nikos at the restaurant) and great food (breakfast, room service, dinner). Huge perfect rooms as well - value for money for Switzerland.Great bathrobe for spa - although too warm for summer.

Hotel is in the middle of the village so not much green / nature around. Still good green views though.
