    Pros +

    • Location close to station and town was great, well signed from the main street. Breakfast was decent too and the breakfast staff very friendly
    • very very close to the train station, breakfast was included, ski room
    • The staff was amazing. Shout out to Julia. It was a pleasure to meet Swannie, the owner. He took pleasure and interest in every guest that would have a question or request. I look forward to my next ski trip to Andermatt and staying here.

    Cons -

    • The boot room has no boot heaters and nothing dries, so soggy smelly boots and an associated oder in the boot room is the order of the day! The ski room is also always unlocked which is a security issue. 'Luggage storage' is in the main communal entrance hall in full view for the taking - the door to the street, which was open every time I entered (despite having a key code on it) poses a security / theft risk. The shower in the bathroom was incredibly small and was quite uncomfortable and claustrophobic with the door shut - it was however hot and powerful The fact there isn't a reception and only an 'emergency' phone number is annoying - decide what is an 'emergency' to you as to whether you use it or not ?! There are no lifts (detail mentioned in the hotel description) but if you have heavy luggage and are on the top floor it's quite a haul ....be warned !
    • nothing was amazing

location, bar, apres ski hut in front of the restaurant, breakfast, friendly staff

room size (too small), ski room was not clean and does not have ski boots heating system

    Location great

Tiny room, not really suitable for two adult travellers with two suitcases. no mirror in room only in bathroom. There was space on a wall for a mirror. Visited out of season no breakfast available at all on offer, communications during booking and prior to arrival didn’t make it clear the breakfast restaurant would be closed. Only discovered first morning when saw sign on locked door to restaurant. Disappointed

Lovely hotel, would have been a great place to relax

We had chosen this hotel for the midpoint on our travels so we could enjoy the bar and restaurant. We hadn’t been informed that the bar and restaurant were both closed during this part of the season

    1) Room was smaller than usual, however we were just spending a night, so it was okay. 2) Bed was comfortable, linen and sheets were fresh and new.3) Bathroom was newly constructed so felt good. 4) Breakfast was good, staff was courteous.

    1) Overpriced: CHF 190 a night was overpriced considering the location of Andermatt for a room with a private bathroom. 2) Code based door locked was hard to handle as despite entering correct code, door was not getting unlocked. The combination of code and rotating the knob was erratic. 3) Room had Soda water bottles instead of water bottles.

Location ideal for a 1 night stop on our road trip. Restaurant on premises, good choice of food and friendly waiter and bar staff. Breakfast included, we found this to be better to be expected bearing in mind very few people in the hotel.

Self check in! We couldn’t get it to work, only to find the door wasn’t actually locked!Bedroom tiny, we went for Standard Double but it’s nothing like the photo, scroll through the photo and there is one of a double bed, with only a small gap each side. That was the room we were given No 5 first floor. As we were travelling for several weeks we had luggage! We ended up removing clothes for the next day and standing holdalls on end in the wardrobe. The space at side of the bed probably no more than 75cm. There is a fold down tiny table but you can’t get past it, so it has to be folded down therefore a total waste! This room would probably suit slim bikers with a rucksack

Close to train station , good restaurant downstairs

Can not leave luggage before 3 pm , digital lock system frustrating for opening door, no lift

    8Reiselysten1Posted on: 9-29-2025

Very small room. But nice and clean

    Breakfast was sparsome

    5AlfonsPosted on: 9-25-2025

It was in the centre of town.

No reception, tiny expensive room, breakfast averaged and only one croissant was left at 0900.

    7NicholasPosted on: 9-19-2025

ConvenientGood facilities, mostlyFair breakfastOn-site parking (but not secure)Fellow guests complained of drainage odours in their rooms.

No lift (heavy luggage) - I was on top (third) floor.Bathroom sink: very difficult to get face to basin, as mirror cupboard projects too far - a waste of space, nothing inside it. Better to mount mirror directly on wall. (I had exactly this issue at home too.)Lighting in room very impractical - not good to read by.No kettle in room.

Location from train station to start EV 15 and oberalpass Lovely staff and nice vibe in restaurant Shared bathroom wasn’t a problem Comfy bed Inside bicycle storage

    4AlanPosted on: 9-8-2025

As it’s a small village location of any hotel will be good this is particularly close for station and cable car

No tv, no hair dryer, no iron. Late getting into room because the goddess not sent. More expensive than the Savoy.

    8TheresaPosted on: 9-5-2025

Good location. Easy walk from train station and close to many restaurants. Good breakfast.

No mini fridge in the room. A small balcony would be nice. Could be a bit noisy with motorcycles starting in the morning.

    2JamesPosted on: 9-4-2025

    Very poor

check in a disaster as too IT based and staff don't know how to handle, no one could make a decision. Finally when in room we find it was double booked and another family were left outside.in addition ridiculously expensive

    7IgorPosted on: 8-24-2025

    Good

Automatic check in and codes system is pretty confusing. And when finally got to the room beds weren't done, O had to go to look for personel to make my bed
