Room and hotel's general decour... Expensive to get there from the airport

A disappointing location and dated hotel.

The car park was behind the hotel and was full, making it difficult to park anywhere nearby. The room was dated and one of the lifts wasn’t working. The beach next to the hotel was disappointing. Access to swim in the sea was off a jetty, over slippery rocks and down a ladder - inaccessible for a lot of people.

The omelettes during breakfast were amazing. The cook who made them was incredibly talented.

Hotel had everything needed. There was nothing concrete to complain. However decorations and ambiance were quite outdated. Feeling was to be back in the 70s.

If you need a tenniscourt, is available ofcourse for extra money. Nice breakfast.

Terrible check-in.. many questions, takes fore-ever. Everything was already filled in by Booking.com .. never had this long investigation in any other hotel.Chairs on the sun deck, not for free, are on a chain with a lock.At Check-out ( 15 min later then 11.00) my key didn’t worked anymore, then the guy from the reception had to bring me to the room, and told me that I had to leave my room in 10 min.. otherwise extra charge, it was low season.. the hotel was not full. At Incheck i came at 16.00 and still the room was not free. Bad management.The Water bottle was empty in the room, i have to fill it downstairs, but nobody explain this by check-in. So i bought water at the supermarket.Music very loud till 23.00.. we were there for a swimming holiday, so we like to go early to sleep, when we ask an other room at the back ( no sea side, a cheaper room) we had to pay 40€ to change for this room!

Location was amazing

The events in the evenings that kept the whole family awake: they started at like 21/30 and went on till 23:00. Not pleasant and very load. Totally not needed

Lots of families - its a good hotel for families but maybe I will choose adult only hotel next time

The location is great. There is a very nice beach close to the hotel with all the necessary facilities.

Staff was rude. The price was too high for what you get.

Very dirty, smelly, a/c didn’t work very old deco not enough sun beds its probably the worst hotel I ever been to and they are charging roughy £200 a night

Reception staff were excellent. extremely helpful and pleasant. Always trying their best to solve any issues and always greeted us with a smile

Lack of WIFI in the room . Very poor reception. Beds a little too firm

Very Clean food very good plenty of variety food wasn’t as hot as I personally like but other than that very good staff were the best I have experience all staff from domestics to management were so friendly and helpful bar staff and catering staff went out if their way to help you and so polite lovely with the children the child entwined Maurice was perfect with both adults and children very patient and friendly the children loved him

My only complaint is there should be a games room for the older children and a play area for the younger children that would of made it my perfect holiday and hotel

I had a fantastic stay at Universal Romantica Hotel. The service was top-notch, and the staff were super friendly. The location is perfect, not too close from town centre - in a very quiet area - and only 6 minutes away from the closest beach. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back!

Great location and good value for money

The room was small and it could do with a refurbishment

Comfy rooms & beds, stunning sea views, nice & quiet (but it was out of season). The options of food was outstanding! I am a vegan with intolerances and the selection of milks, cereals and food for breakfast was amazing! I really appreciate the labelling and attentive nature of staff who are more than happy to check on the packets if they are unsure of allergens. I normally worry about food when travelling and except I may need to seek options out but I am very happy to report I came back heavier than when I arrived! :D Staff were so accommodating and friendly, and their fluency in multiple languages makes for a very smooth and welcoming service and an enjoyable stay! There was evening entertainment of two singers who were both very good and I understand it is even harder to perform to an empty room, purely due to lack of guests staying, but they were very professional and friendly. The price of the rooms and the additions of half-board or all inclusive was very impressive and the whole trip only cost two of us for 2 days £160 including flights to the island!

Dining hall could do with a drinks menu to view options and compare prices, but the waitstaff are fantastic and so kind. I have no other suggestions or qualms but I need to meet the word limit haha!

Great sea view, food was close to perfect. Grocery shop and the bus stop is just 2 min walk.

You do not have access to drinking water during dinner and you have to buy... No double beds but single that they put together

Brilliant location near a bus so easy access. Good choice of Breakfast and nice bedrooms.

The reception and bar staff were so friendly and remembered what my daughter wanted to drink every time, even remembering our room number each time

Some of the dining room staff were quite rude snatching the spatulas and putting them back where they clearly like them to be, the location is very remote, no taxis, no park for the kids, there was a stony beach next to the hotel. Being a bit early in the season not much to do in the hotel

The hotel was good. Some staff members were friendly and helpful, especially Abdulraherm, who did his best to help us and was professional. Some staff members were difficult and were watching us while dinning at the restaurant, which was annoying and impolite. One was chasing us with a pen and paper in case we had anything extra, a drink or something, although we paid already for a week's meals in advance. The location of the hotel is not great if want to enjoy a beach holiday with facilities, as its by a rocky seaside. We couldn't swim or sit for a picnic as there's no beach, only rocks alongside the area.The swimming pool is outside the hotel, so it needs to be really warm to enjoy a swim outdoors, otherwise the water is cold.
