    • Beautiful little bar, so relaxing. The spa was amazing. We used it almost every day. Lovely cosy bedroom and a kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The staff were great.
    • Great locationComfortable bed
    • Perfect location at the entrance to the village. Easy to find. Easy to park. Lovely room overlooking the pool. Great bar and restaurant.

    Cons -

    • A leak in the toilet that needed fixing. We did eat in the restaurant and it was lovely but not enough of a selection in the restaurant for vegetarian/pescatarian.
    • Bathtub glass was leaking all over the bathroom floorVery limited breakfast options
    • No kettle in room or access to basic catering accessories like mugs and spoons

Family of 4, 2 adults, a 5 year old and a nearly 1 year old. First time going skiing with kids so we wanted to make sure it was as easy as possible. We looked at flights under 2 hours and hotel about the same. We decided Bristol to Geneva. After looking at a few accommodation options we decided to stay at Logis Gai Soleil in Samoens (https://www.logishotels.com/en/hotel/logis-hotel-gai-soleil-1214). We went for a family suite so we could make food and bottle for the baby.We also booked transfers with Alps Transfert (https://www.alpstransfert.com) to ensure we had car seats and knew what we were doing when we got there. This turned out to be a really good option because our flight was delayed by about an hour. This was no problem for the transfer and the hotel gave us a code to get our key as reception would have been closed. Our driver contacted the hotel on the way and sorted our key cards and the hotel staff met us at the apartment which was in the lodge. This made the delay a lot more bearable and made for a seamless check-in for us (it was nearly midnight and we wanted to get the kids settled). The next morning, we picked up some pastries from a bakery a short walk away from the hotel (Boulangerie Tiffanie) which had a massive selection of cakes, pastries, sandwiches, etc! 4 x croissants, 4 x pain chocolat, 4 x pain au raisin and a pain traditional cost about €18. We hadn’t booked and ski hire, ski passes or ski lessons so after breakfast we set about sorting that out. We went with ESF whose office is close to the tourist information centre (again a short walk from the hotel). We booked our 5 yo in for group lessons which were 3pm to 5pm starting that Sunday afternoon - if you want a choice of lessons, try checkyeti.com (also does ski hire). The hotel let us know about two ski hire shops by the Grand Massif Express which they had discount with. Sport experience and the other is Extreme Sport.

Breakfast was basic but sufficient. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, speaking good English and with good local knowledge.

On a ski bus route, ski storage,

No hot water for 3 of our 6 day stay. No soap in the bathroom dispenser. A lightbulb was missing in the bedroom. Very small shower cubicle with shower curtain that stuck to you as there was no room to turn around in the shower!Restaurant food was not very goodA Cappuccino was Euro 6

Elodie is fantastic as are all the staff working through meals. The place is beautiful. The little touches and decor are so authentic. It’s a proper mountain hideaway 2 mins walk from the centre and a 5 minute bus ride from the ski (10 mins walk). The pool and spa are great! Food is amazing! Half board is definitely worth it!

Loved all the facilities, table tennis, table football, pool, jacuzzi, wellness area, sauna, gym. excellent restaurant with amazing food.. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice and cosy. Warm, friendly bar with fire. Opposite bus stop but nice walk to lift. Extra corridor toilet! Great family room and facilities.

Difficult one to answer. Little bit tired in the bathroom, Shower head slipped down. Needed to ask for coffee machine and tea towel appeared few days late. But nothing major to spoil a fantastic holiday.

Great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cosy.

If you were planning to self cater you need to provide your own essentials such as washing up liquid and dishwashing equipment.

Proximity to village, clean, great views!

    8DanaPosted on: 1-8-2025

Room was beautiful. Pool was not bad, but unfortunately the hamam and fitness were in a different building and walking outside through the cold from building to building is not optimum- still, we knew this when we booked it. Good value for the breakfast, great service. Nice staff.

    8CarolinePosted on: 1-5-2025

Hotel was perfect we were in a lodge which had a kitchen which came in handy due to lack of restaurants. We were able to get take away. Lovely fire in the bar where you could enjoy a few drinks after skiing. Bus right outside door that took to to ski lift but a lovely walk if you missed the bus.

Would have liked to be able to book a restaurant, enjoy a few lively drinks after day of skiing

Great location in the village. Lovely staff. Great views across the valley. Very good cocktails. Comfortable bed. Great Wi-Fi. The corner kitchen in the room is a good idea although we didn’t need to use it.

There is an EV charger but no control over who parks in front of it so we weren’t able to use it in two days. There are faster chargers nearby in the village so not a big issue but a missed opportunity. Our heated towel rail didn’t work and there was a lot of black mould in the bathroom. We’d just finished walking the TMB and fancied a bath as there is one in the bathroom but the maximum temperature from the hot tap is pretty tepid and the bath is short so it wasn’t a relaxing experience.

Summer stay. Quaint hotel, ideally located in the heart of the town. Room was small, but bed comfy and pillows lovely. Balcony for two people a nice touch. The pool is small, but great for a refreshing dip and the jacuzzi is excellent. Lovely garden to relax in. Staff are just amazing; so helpful and friendly.Electric car charger (fast 3 phase)...pricey, but a God send in this mountain location, saves travelling back to sallanches. Didn't eat so can't comment, but menu and dining room looks fab. Outdoor dining possible.

Curtains in bedroom completely inadequate, but there are shutters so no big deal unless you want to leave window/door to balcony open.

    8PaulPosted on: 9-3-2024

Free parking, good location near town, quiet, garden with sun loungers, balcony, comfortable mattress. Breakfast nothing special but fine. Would return.

Dated bathroom with bad shower screen that leaked all over floor. No aircon or fan in room so hot for sleeping in summer.

A fantastic place to stay in Samoëns: centrally located, with very nice hosts helping with every need. The swimming pool is a nice addition, especially in the summer. I will definitely be coming back!
