Pros +
- We had spa treatments everyday while we stayed at the hotel, and it was amazing. The masseurs, Veronika, Laszlo and Balazs, were outstanding, so professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them. I would like to mention the housekeeper, Ibolya, who went out of her way with any request we had. She is truly fantastic!!!
- Our stay at Caramell Premium Resort Superior was truly enjoyable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We were particularly impressed by the variety of saunas available, which added to the relaxing experience. The hotel's Asian-inspired design created a unique and soothing atmosphere, enhancing the overall vibe. Additionally, the food was delicious, meeting our expectations in both quality and taste. We left with great memories and would gladly return!
- - There was a dirty bath tub in the bedroom- The minibar fridge wasn’t working- The safe broke down late in the evening, and it took quite some time to figure out that the “universal key” was the code 000000, which means that those safes are not safe at all, as probably too many people are able to open them- There was a strong smell of smoke when we checked in, and also later when we arrived to the room after a while
Cons -
- While the hotel's atmosphere was enjoyable, an unexpected disturbance significantly affected our experience. After 10 PM, a loud 'room party' took place upstairs, making it difficult to relax. When I contacted reception, the staff casually acknowledged the situation and were aware of it but took an hour to resolve it, which felt quite unprofessional. This lack of swift action made the situation frustrating and diminished the overall comfort of our stay
- The bed was too hard and difficult to sleep. The coffee and drink charges at the bar are too high. The resort also charges parking (per day) which is strange as they have their own parking and there is no other way of reaching to the resort.
- Not all the facilities were working and there was no recycling in the hotel.

The Spa is very good and having variety of different spa rooms. The dinner and breakfast options were very good. The room was specious and having nice balcony.
The bed was too hard and difficult to sleep. The coffee and drink charges at the bar are too high. The resort also charges parking (per day) which is strange as they have their own parking and there is no other way of reaching to the resort.
It was nice and good for a family with child.
Not all the facilities were working and there was no recycling in the hotel.
Disappointing
Very poor breakfast. Staff is rude (ukranian girls are nice, hungarian woman from a bar with black hair- is veeery rood!)
(+) Spacious room & overall facilities (+) Very delicious breakfast & dinner buffet and a-la carte lunch, coffee & cocktails in the bars(+) Clean thermal spa (silent zone) and sauna world (upstairs)
(-) No indoor (or heated outdoor) pool for swimmers(-) Long distance between thermal, pools & sauna areas(-) wellness pool mostly crowded and had a strange and unpleasant foam in it(-) Not enough beds in sauna relax zones(-) Missing slippers and vanity kit in the room, limited number of towels in the bathroom
Good food, clean, pleasant staff
The weather was bad, outdoor amenities were closed. There was not much to do, apart from the (rather small) swimming pool.
Rooms are clean. Food has many varieties. Staff are friendly & helpful.
Water in a hot pool near the sauna area is not clean.
Good and badThe Good: This hotel bills itself as a 4-star hotel.Half board with excellent cuisine.Great thermal pool. Nice swimming pool with interesting architecture. At first glance, a 4-star hotel with everything that goes with it and with above-standard client care.
The bad:The problem is, he doesn't have it.From the attached photos you can see the untidy room I received. Spider webs in the windows, a chair full of dog hair that will stain your clothes, an uncleaned floor, mold in the shower. All the equipment has seen good and prosperous years (including the wallpaper that is falling off the walls). The attitude of the hotel management is good. They offered to clean the room immediately, after the arrival of the management, to move to better rooms. They also tried to compensate for the bad impression with additional attention (free massages, drinks at the company's expense). But that wasn't all.The great kitchen was spoiled by the desserts, which were too cold and so practically tasteless. (I had to ask for them to be heated).I have mixed feelings about the hotel. With a little more preventive effort from the management, it could match the price that is requested. According to my experience, the hotel deserves one or two stars less.
Location is nice. The food was okay, but it lacks some variety. The room was spacious. The pools and the saunas are great. Kid's room had a lot of toys for all ages.
The bright coloured curtains were terrible, especially without any extra blinds on the windows. The staff was unprofessional and unpunctual. The drinks were expensive and the coffee was awful. The hotel is overdue for a renovation. Overall, not a 4 star hotel experience.
Not too crowded , staff was very kind, Saunas are great
Silent Spa closing time at 18h , if you come later to dinner there isnt that much options
Sauna world and food was very nice
I recently purchased this wellness holiday as a birthday present for my 20-year-old nephew and his girlfriend. It was a first time that they had stayed in a hotel as grown ups. On arrival the receptionists were confused when they required assistance with the (paid!) parking, and seemed unable to explain where to park. After a nice spa-afternoon they went for dinner, one hour before the restaurant was expected to close (according to the website). They were the only guests in the restaurant and the waiting staff were clearly frustrated that they had to serve them, rather than finish early. There were about 10 staff present in all and they made loud comments, complaining about to each other, such that my family could hear. Nobody served them drinks, despite all of them standing around with nothing to do. My nephew had to stand up after 10-15 minutes at the bar and asked for drinks, which obviously cost extra money. This is not the way to make guests feel special. When my nephew asked for a serving spoon the bald waiter guy with glasses just pointed in the direction of the cutlery without saying a word. After hearing the story, I had to say that I have never experienced such rude and unprofessional behaviour in any hotel or restaurant in any part of the world. This hotel staff managed to ruin my nephew's birthday. I found it outrageous, especially given the premium price. There are two types of luxury hotel; genuinely classy with nothing to prove and pride in making the guests feel that they belong or mediocre places trying to show off by belittling guests. The Caramell is the latter, trying to be something it is not. The staff would benefit from some training in a real luxury hotel. The shy 20-year-old guests with generous friends and relatives are the regular guests of the future and should be treated with the same attention as an old guest returning,or the fiftieth time. dr. Breakfast and dinner was delicious, recepcionist really helpful, provided taxi to the station. Wellness was nice and warm. Rooms are big and comfortable.
Rooms are used, out if date: some equipments not working which in case of 4* hotel would be a basic.
The staff was super nice and always very helpful! The Spa is lovely!
When we had breakfast / dinner some of the food were already gone / not available, the bars closed at 10pm on most days.
I really like everything; Staff were very kind, room was huge, nice and clean with terrace and nice view over fields. Wellness area was great.I kindly recommend AYURVEDA massage, but the other one I took was also great( Lomi Lomi Hawaii massage), price is more than affordable! I was also surprised how many different, tasty dishes they had to offer in Restaurant.
The only thing I couldn't really understand ( as I go to SPA Hotels often ) that I was not able to get a new towel ( at the end of the day, my towel was completely wet and I wanted to get new one for the next day) and the Lady in SPA Area told me they change towels every 3 days. Also, in Relax room, by Saunas, it would be much better to hear calm music and to decorate a bit more( windows without curtains, too much light for relax room in SPA... ) Same by main pool, a bit less lights, it would give much better relaxing atmosphere...?
Spa, Sauna, Breakfast and Dinner, quite rooms (with windows closed), very good warm thermal water. We visited off-season during business days, so there was very little trouble.
There was an erroneous massage booking from the hotel side. They corrected it immediately but still tried to overcharge us at the end. That should not happen in such a premium facility.
Its pretty new hotel
VERY pure breakfast . 20 min we were standing in a line to get an omlet.Dinner - also very pure. Not enough educated staff. Spa area - small, would not recommend.
Staff was helpful and friendly, we found everything we needed in the room, Good options for children.
Many indoor pool, sauna, steam bath- these could be good in the case of bad weather.
-Very uncomfortable sunbeds without cushions, awww. -Limited shade around the outdoor pool. It would be better to plant some trees there instead of to walk on the hot floor. -There was almost NO selection at the buffet from special diet food at breakfast. Lactose free section was: milk, yogurt, butter and cheese. All other main course at dinner and breakfast -included the salads as well- were floating in mayo, ordinary yogurt or milk. … However I wrote to the receptionst via mail about my request of my diet before our arrival and I’ve got a reassuring answer.Last day there was a new chef. He was more helpful, so I’ve got a slice of ‘free of everything’ cake (somehow there was somewhere in the kitchen) at the end of our dinner. (On previous evenings I had no choice to eat from the sweet section anything, unfortunately.)
