Astoria Grand Hotel

The location

It is old, the room was old and dark , no water to the room after hours even at a cost as I was not asking it for free. The breakfast had limited options and no staff to cater to questions on the type of food

Good location. The restaurant on the top floor had amazing food.

The staff at the reception desk was rude and irritable not just with us but other customers all well. They were very busy, but that's no excuse. The room smelled a bit funky. I also think that it was never mentioned that you have to pay for the parking, which I don't mind, but I would like to know beforehand.

The carpets were clean.

I was not allowed to charge food on the room , and they did not accept euro ,

The room was clean and comfortably furnished. It had a nice sized bathroom and a wonderful view from the 17th floor. The location is very good and central and the staff was professional and welcoming.

I could hear the music and feel the bass from the bar on the top floor eventhough I was 5 floors below. There were 5 electric sockets placed in inconvenient locations (only one next to the bed) and 3 of them somehow didn't work. There was no soap in the room. The breakfast buffet was limited with not enough options. The twin bed was hard and uncomfortable.

The acomodation is great the restaurant is amazingWe have never been in to better place in Sofia

The best thing in the Hotel is the staff extremly friendly and helpfull aways with a smile

It is a new hotel, so everything is clean, neat and tidy. The staff was very welcoming and polite. It is certainly done with taste, there is parking available. The location is amazing, within walking distance from the key central spots.

I did not like the fact that there is no ventilation in the bathroom. Showering with warm water feels like a sauna.

Room was not cleaned well, but OK. Bed was not comfy, expected more for a GRAND HOTEL like yours, but I digress. It was OK.

Breakfasts were good. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The heating didn't work. Room was cold .

the receptionist was rude, and did not have any knowledge about the hotel. We asked her what time is breakfast, and she was filing her nails while telling us there is no dinner served.

The hotel is located in the center of the city and is close to many attractions, restaurants and shopping. The hotel staff was very welcoming. I would definitely recommend the Astoria Grand Hotel to anyone seeking five star accommodations!

The hotel is nice, quiet and close to the city. The breakfast was varied and nice.

They didn't clean the room for two days. The furniture was a bit old .The pillows were not comfortable.

1.Door from the toilet doesn't close on room 04262.Breakfast was not tasty! I have visited many hotels around Bulgaria and i know that they have perfect sausages,cheese and everything witch is serving. 3.Parking is too expensive (my fault that i didn't saw when i booked)

City center. Nice clean rooms. Rooftop bar and reaustarant.

Very grand.The room and bed very spacious.Walking distance to the centre of Sofia.

Breakfast was a little sparse.

The views from the rooms are quite the sight, the location is within walking distance of the city centre, and they do a pretty good breakfast.

There are no sockets next to the bed. They also seem to allow smoking in the hotel casino & the smell fills up the lobby.

Different equipment in the room (temperature regulator, warm water regulator) didn’t workOr was blocked so I couldn’t adjust it. The personal is really unfriendly and asking for an invoice at check in didn’t work out to have the invoice ready at check out (6 days!).

Bad

Very stuffy and full of dust. Toilet was not clean and everywhere has this stuffiness which caused a lot of sneezing and sniffing. I didnt even stay there as I had to check out. Would not recommend to anyone.

Everything was okay , no negative points
