Good location, lovely staff. Comfortable bed.

The air-conditioning was not enough to deal with the heat during our stay. It could not keep the room cool enough.

Perfect location, great breakfast, excellent hotel employees.Staff was polite and helpful during check in, check out, or when I asked to bring scrambled eggs for the breakfast (which were finished by the moment I came to breakfast at 9:00).Room was big and quiet (I asked for a quiet room during booking process), and included one king bed (I asked for it during the booking process).

The breakfast buffet was excellent, as well the omelets, yum! And the coffee was pretty good too, the staff were very friendly and helpful too.

The staff at the restaurant during the breakfast were very polite and professional. Location is perfect to walk to the center.

Even though the room was non smoking, it extremely smelt cigarette smell. It was too much for non smokers like me. Also the internet connection was not stable. It was dropping frequently.

Beautiful and cozy interior, close to bus and tram stop and metro station. The street is a bit shabby but very peaceful. Location close to nice parks and pedestrian areas. Good breakfast.What we would have hoped is more information about the city (like a small paper map of the centre) and about public transport (like location of the nearest tourist info) just to get started.

Breakfast during weekdays quite sober. I was too modest to ask for my beloved scrambled eggs on Thursday but on Friday the guy in the restaurant asked all guests what they would like (scrambled eggs or omelette with/without bacon). That cheered me up.

Absolutely nothing!

The hotel is very old, looks like it hasn’t been renovated from the time was built, really bad smell in the rooms. The attitude of receptionist called Maia is unacceptable, she was rude, not willing to help, speaking bad and very unfriendly. The location is very bad, on the road even though it’s downtown there’s nothing around, not even supermarket, which you can reach by walking. The suit I had didn’t have toiletries, not even slippers or shower cap, only small bottles of shower gel. The terrible thing that reception doesn’t work from 8pm to 8 am. When my daughter lost her room key card the mentioned above receptionist told me that I have to pay 10 leves or euros (don’t remember) for the card, never seen anything like this. The hotel positions itself as 4 stars, but in reality is max 2 stars. Breakfast is awful, no room service, no food after 8 pm. The only nice, friendly and helpful person was Nikolai( bar tender) which helped me with issues he wasn’t supposed to. Also the price doesn’t match the quality!!!!!

Everything clean , room , no hot water, no air conditioning

The location is outstanding, rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights. The room I was given (believe #603) had no heating and apparently this was known to staff, but all they responded to my complaint was 'oh, maybe we didn't have any other rooms last night', which is unacceptable. They did move me to another room the second night, but there was no talk about any possible refund, they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience, the attitude was as if nothing out or ordinary happened. Not only the room was unheated, but it was also dirty: trash had not been collected, wallpaper was torn, there were big black stains on the white curtains. The second room was nice, though the furniture was somewhat outdated.

It was a very nice breakfast, so fresh and delicious.

My hotel room is very comfortable and clean. The cable TV also works nice, also I have a freezer in my room and many other things for a comfortable life here. I recommend that Hotel to stay for all people around the region. I will also be coming here this summer. I thank the hotel Team for the amazing place.

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Downtown. The room was cozy and spacial, the location is right in the heart of the city, and the food in the restaurant is amazing! Staff was attentive and polite. I will definitely stay here next time I am in Sofia.

Very poor hygiene, staff at the reception unfriendly. The food is very bad, tasteless, the same every day. We had breakfast this morning and during breakfast there was no juice, coffee, a lot of food was missing, where a lot of people were drinking at that moment, where the staff did not react, no comments. Parking is very difficult to find, even though it says there is. The price is so high, but it is worth twice as much or not even that much.

Hygiene was very poor although it was a Suite, unclean toilet with feces there, I had to change room, ceiling leaking in the new one, inadequate service, no reception after 20h, bad smell and leaking ceiling in the conference room where I had a business event. Too expensive for the quality offered.

Clean accommodation, excellent location. Breakfast was worse, little choice, no dark pastries. But that is to be expected, given the country. Close to the metro station, excellent access to the city centre or airport.
