    • Nice big room, clean facilities, friendly and helpful staff. It is just around the corner of Vitosha Boulevard, so in the very heart of the city. Access is easy and there was a breakfast in the fridge.
    • I loved the breakfast of cold cuts, pate, crackers, butter and jellies, and orange juice delivered to my fridge daily. Thank you.
    • I liked the breakfast being left in the fridge daily--crackers, two kinds of cheeses, pate, honey, jam, orange juice bottles and water bottles, that was GREAT!

    Cons -

    • Everything was fine
    • Thank you, everything was excellent.
    • The only room I didn't like was the roof room with the small window because it had a step inside and it was smaller.

The location was absolutely perfect. Check in was online and easy. One of our 3 rooms was available an hour early.

Lovely clean place and rooms. Staff was most helpful and accommodating. Rooms were cozy and charming.

Only drawback was not having an elevator. However staff was most helpful with getting luggage up and down.

Seems clean. Presence of drinkable water. Staff was very kind and helpful.

Stairs, and the moquette (you can never be sure it is clean enough. The shower was leaking water.

Great location. Loved being next to the Walking Street. Close to numerous cafes, restaurants, and shops. Walking distance to the Basilica and Royal Palace. Loved staying in a historic building.

My friend and I struggled with our suitcases because there is no elevator. Staff came to the rescue, thankfully. Reason for no elevator: Municipal restrictions on historic buildings. This lovely building is from the 1500’s and has been refurbished into a historic hotel. Ceilings are amazingly high, maybe 20 feet! That’s why climbing one flight felt like climbing three.

Wonderful help from Plame. Fantastic location. Charming.

    It didn’t have an elevator

The location off Vitosha Boulevard was great - convenient and easy walk to major sites, restaurants and Metro line (including the airport by taking the M4 yellow line direct to Serdika stop). It only took 15-20 minute walk to get to Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, for example. The room was quiet — we were on the third floor facing a side street/building.

We requested and received the queen bed - unfortunately the duvet coverlet was only for a double bed!

Definitely the location, right in the middle of Sofia. The room was also spacious with the kitchnet

Sometimes was hard to get a hold of the front desk during hours, but they were really nice. The breakfast set up was also not the best, just vouchers and we don’t drink coffee.

    9ArtPosted on: 8-8-2025

The hotel is in a fantastic central location, with all the major sights just a short walk away. Two metro stations, Serdika and NDK, are also close by, making it easy to get anywhere quickly, whether you’re heading outside the city center, to the airport, or to the main train and bus stations. The area feels completely safe, and even though it’s in the heart of the city, the rooms are perfectly peaceful. You’d never guess there’s a busy pedestrian zone just outside. The staff are absolutely outstanding—professional, genuinely friendly, and always happy to help. Whether you speak to them in person or send a quick message on WhatsApp, they reply almost instantly with clear and detailed advice. Definitely great value for money.

    SCAM - be careful

With the exception of the kind receptionist at the front and the nice bathroom, this place and management are a SCAM.We booked a 2 bedroom apartment which didn't have a second bedroom but just a space with a window looking into the hallway of the building. The lights in the hallway would come on during the night and wake us up as other guests were coming through. It felt like a prison cell. Management said that is their only "2 bedroom option," so technically, they don't provide 2 bedroom apartments at all. We have raised the issue with Booking and will be doing the same with Expedia. There was no door for the "2nd bedroom," so zero privacy. This is not a hotel but a HOSTEL. You can pay the same price for Marriott or a Hilton. The breakfast was a croissant with ham and cheese. No gluten-free or vegetarian options. There were no cleaning supplies or towels in the kitchen, and management never provided them when we asked, so we had to purchase them.

I loved loved the staff. Plamen and Adriana were wonderful. Super helpful and kind. If in doubt ask Plamen. Since the day I arrived till the day I left, my experience at Agora was phenomenal! This hotel is in a central location. I traveled solo and was able to move around Sofia by walking everywhere. Till next time Sofia. 100 out of 10 experience.

Staff was great and quick response to meet our needs. Location was fantastic!!!!

The breakfast was only a croissant and a coffee if it worked. Could have more light choices

Large, clean apartment with 2 bathrooms and air conditioning, which was much appreciated when we arrived at Sofia International Airport at midnight and it was 31 degrees. Bottles of cold water in the fridge. Nice neighborhood.

Perfect location. Helpful staff. Best value for money.

Limited breakfast at the Cafe near the hotel. Hot water comes and goes irregularly.

Excellent location! Steps to main attractions and in a good area. Very safe for tourists!

I wish that there was facial tissues in the bathroom.
