Location is nice

They made me check in a Chinese restaurant!!!Can you believe that?? Totally unbelievable!No receipts of any kind were given although I requested it many times!!Super ultra old hotel with extreme old facilities!! Very dirty and very hot, no ac working!!

The location is excellent! I had a couple of drinks with friends nearby and going back at the hotel was quite easy.

There was no hot water to take a shower in the morning!

Near to all tourist attractions

No elevator available and i had to carry my big luggage to 3 flights of stairs. Corridors were dim and smelly. My room was extremely small for 2 persons. The room was not cleaned before i moved in and worst of all found dead insects on the floor !!!

There was nothing to like other than the location

Everything. Key had to be picked up from a takeaway next door. The corridors were dark, dirty,. Electric socket in the room was literally hanging out of the wall. It felt incredibly unwelcome and in fact, quite a scary place to be. It was so bad I checked out after one night - with no refund available on the rest of my nights and paid to stay somewhere else.

Location maybe

Well, the experience was not so nice: internet/WIFI very poor I had to use my roaming, smell in the room was really bad and wall were with spit, light with bed was not working at all and moreover switch was broken, electrical plugs were not even keeping charger properly , at least mattress was not that bad. Hotel does not have lift, nor provide breakfast and staff only available at certain time. Who gave it 3 star rating not sure, if it satisfy a 1 star European standard already a plus as i would not give more than that. Hotel is basically under very bad state with lots of health and safety issues even the refurbished rooms as I took so called newly refurbished room specifically due to the fact that other rooms even were more worst on picture than the one I took. Hotel NOT suitable for people with disabilities!

Central location, quite room on inner yard side

Front doors are closed, have to call and wait 15 min on the street to wait receptionist, the hotel is in old socialistic style , dirty corridors, wires over head, strong tobacco odor. Cockroaches in the room, bad sound isolation with neighbors.

We had a roof over our heads.

It's nothing like in the photos. The sink leaks, the shower is broken, the window won't close, the floor is full of holes and stains... It's full of moquitos and flies. Everything is old and unmaintained. I co on and on. In all honesty, it should be legally impossible for this hotel to accept guests in the state it is in.

The location is great - walking distance to almost the entire city center

It was smoking smell in the room, overnight someone screaming in the hotel, it was grass smell in corridor.It's not safe in my Opinion. On the discrimination says is parking, the hotel don't have parking.

Disaster

Nothing like on the photos. Smells like mold, just changed the sheets (I hope so), very dirty, the toilet had hair from the previous guests. There is no Internet and heating.

Room was tidy, with comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Staff was really helpful. Very less noise so you can have a peaceful stay.

The location is the only good thing

This place should not even be allowed to be open. It is unsafe, dirty and falling apart. After having tried 4 bookings at other places that got denied, we forgot to read into this place. I've been able to collect 30+pictures of things that are not normal to have in a hotel. From mouldy smells to holes in the wall, and from a leaking toilet to exposed electricity cables. The reception seemed out if order as we had to walk to a neighbouring Chinese restaurant to pick up a key to get in. Three steps in and an awful smell came our way. Our three person room had a leaking toilet, no shower walls, broken light with exposed light bulbs, dust piled up against the wall, a smell of feaces in the room, exposed electricity cables, random stuff lying around like buckets, multiple wholes in the wall and window seal, an old small and fat tv from a previous century and the list goes on and on. Please do not even consider this place as one of your options. We felt so dirty when we left and finally relieved and clean when we simple went to a hostel. This would then also be my recommendation to anyone wanting to visit Sofia for an affordable price!
