S Hotel - Simple City Centre Stay

This is not a hotel

This is not a 3-star hotel. This is not a hotel at all. It's maybe dormitory. 1)Very dirty - in room, in bathroom, overall on the floor was dark hair and dirt. Durty plates on the shelves (see picture) 2)reception is normally closed, you need to call them, in case you have problems 3) breakfast served in ice-cold cellar, fridge-cold eggs, no warm food at all 4) rude woman in so called reception 5) there were old towels from "Grand Hotel Donat" (stolen?)

Not clean, too hot in the room, no veriety in breakfast, the reception is not available most of the time - not even for the check out

Breakfast was really average. My room was right next to the lift, so it was disturbing - especially at mornings.

Nice, cozy hotel located near the city center. The staff is very friendly and you have everything you need for a short stay in Maribor.

It is not a fancy hotel but good value for the price that I paid, with basic facility. The room is clean and the staff is kind and polite. They speak good English and helpful in facilitating late checking and luggage storing after check out. The breakfast is reasonable (mainly bread, wide variation of jams, cereal, ham and cheese, tea, coffee and juice). The location is good (near to the city and in the university of maribor)

This is a place that operates both as a dorm and a hotel. It is ok for a short stay in Maribor.

On two occasions there was a very unpleasant noise both at 11pm and around 3-4am. It was strange that no was reacting to it and no one could be seen in the corridors. Members of staff also did not answer my call. Breakfast is quite basic.

Perfectly clean. Comfortable. Warm. The breakfast was served in the room and it was very cutely decorated. It was very tasty. The croissants and the little breads were super fresh..The staff was very friendly and helpful.

A little trouble with the reception not working later in the day. But ut was resolved fast and good.

The lady at the desk was very friendly and spoke English with a wonderful Slovenian accent. The location is ideal. Breakfast was great (you get a breakfast basket on your floor that you take into your room). The room was clean and perfect for my situation.

location, and 3 single beds and breakfast was included. Ideal if you're visiting football match.

You should pay for parking, room is not that big, no refrigerator,

- Solid accommodation, fairly spacious, reasonably equipped.- Quiet location, within 5-10min walk to the city centre - though if arriving by public transport the train/bus station is about 20+min on foot, on the other side across the city centre.- Warm welcome from the staff.

- Wifi very spotty - one of my devices was able to connect, even if somewhat intermittently. The other device couldn't pick up the wifi at all.- Breakfast somewhat disappointing, hotel no longer offering a breakfast buffet. Individual servings provided in the hallway and you then eat in your room. They provide some selection but everything is just prepackaged. I could understand it a year ago, but in autum 2021 covid seems just a convenient excuse.

We loved our stay here!! The host was fabulous - so friendly and over the top helpful. It's a perfect location, very comfortable rooms and the breakfast was basic but perfect to get you going.

The internet was weak. We had to do our route planning from common areas in the hotel.

Great location, both for transit and visiting Maribor old town. Amazing host. Nice breakfast.Good choice to stay overnight.

The Staff were fantastic, very friendly and welcoming

Shower was a bit small. Not much you can do about that, but being 196cm, 96kg it was tight.

the room was nice and did have good space, the hotel is very close to the center of the city. Breakfast was really a surprise and disappointing. Hotel decided due to corona registrations not to offer coffee or tea, there is a boiler in the room and dou have to use the instant powder and make it by dourself. Breakfast - if you want to call it so - willbe placed close to your room on a table, marked with your room number - see photo attached.

The personal at the reception is not listen to what guests are saying … and my recommendation these days is not to book the breakfast, just 200 m away in the center if the city there are quite a few coffee-shops which are offering decent coffee, breakfast for very lie price.

it was a nice room, a lot of space, the hotel is located very close to the city. The lady at the reception was not friendly and did not listen to what I am saying, my words were cut by her several times - I never had this before ?. I cancelled my breakfast, due to corona decision of the hotel you have to make the coffee by youself (with powder and boiler in your room) and breakfast would look like - see picture.

I did miss a hairdryer … and as mentioned before, just thunk about if you want a breakfast …. 200 m from the hotel there are quite a few coffee shops with decent coffee and breakfast ..

location, cleanliness, friendliness of staff.

i am in my 50s so comfort of beds if very important to me. I believe younger people wouldn;t even notice that the beds were a bit hard.

Very friendly host who helped us with parking and gave us tips for restaurants and culture, too.

One of the pillows was too big and a bit uncomfy.

Directly next to university. Room has air condition.

Extremely slow internet connection (also wifi router in the room didn't work, reboot didn't help - nearby other routers were super slow)... Breakfast unavailable (but I knew this, so no real problem)
