Pros +
- Great breakfast- an extra 9 euros but worth it for ease and was delicious. Had to take a taxi to the hotel which was about 20 euro but the hotel was in great location in a small German town with a great nearby Beer Garden we walked to- loved our layover!
- good hotel, it meet our needs as being only 15 mins from the Munich airport.
- Staff and Hotel Isar are always a delightful place to stay!! We usually stay here on our 1st or last night after flying into Munich. Always friendly and clean. Breakfast is excellent. It is located a short walk to good restaurants and the train station for a 30 min ride into downtown Munich
Cons -
- While I knew the hotel was located away from the town and bahnhof, was a bit further away than. I had anticipated given I opted not to hire a car or use a taxi. Was a cold 20 minute walk in the wee hours to the bus station to catch the 635 to the airport. The breakfast was adequate and pretty average as far as fare goes. Didn't like not having a separate/different shampoo provided (just a body wash the double for hair I guess).
- On booking.com we were under the impression that there were two adults per room and we booked two rooms equaling four people. We had to pay an additional $20 per room because they had a Stone as one guest only.
- The bathroom was very small; not enough for two people to occupy at the same time. It did not have much in the way of amenities; tissue, wash cloths, etc.

Clean and convenient to airport. Bed firm and soft. Pretty close to Freising.
Best was the price. Compared other the place I usually stay in at the airport, the Isar had a much more favorable price and included breakfast. Did like having a set of extra

We like the convenient location close to Munich airport

Check in was easy and staff friendly. Although an older hotel it had been renovated. Everything was clean.

Very clean and the location was great. We were greeted by cordial staff and were able to access our room early.
Great Breakfast--There were food offerings I wanted to try but was too full to eat. The staff was helpful in directing us to buy something we needed.
Better towels.
Outdated room, smell of tabaco, poor internet. Not family friendly , no tea or cofee in the room,
Management did not answer for request for 2 separate beds. There is no cofee or tea, no tea pot, no cofee maker, no caps, no refrigerator in the room . Smell of tabaco, smell of mold..Location is remote .
Extremely comfortable rooms with all basic facilities. The room was extremely clean and had really comfortable bed. The breakfast spread was yummy. The place is just 20min away from munich airport by bus.
Although there are back to back trains to Munich old town, its 45min away.
The staff were very friendly. Room was well organized. I enjoyed the comfortable arm chair.
Excellent location for us, close enough to walk to everything we needed.Very good breakfast provided.Staff was super helpful with information.Bike storage in the garage was a bonus.
It was comfortable enough. No issues. Nice breakfast buffet. Made for an easy overnight stay before flying out of the Munich airport
The reception has limited hours, so make sure to call ahead to arrange a lockbox for your keys
Good location and price for area. Breakfast was good
Not enough parking available.
Friendly staff. Good location. Comfortable room.
Restaurant closed.
A huge, comfortable and clean room. Convenient location to the airport. I accidentally booked the wrong night and we turned up late and there was no key. The owner came to the hotel and let us in anyway and was so lovely about it! A short walk to the river. Warm, has elevator and was very large compared to other similar hotels. Taxi to the airport was 45€.
We love the Isar Hotel and staff. The staff is so friendly and helpful to give details about the area! We stay here any time we are in Munich area. It is a quick 10 minute drive to the airport, but located in a small town outside Munich. You can also easily walk about 20 minutes to the train station and head into Munich. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the breakfast buffet is excellent! There is parking right outside the hotel.
The location is not too bad, and the room size is good. the amenity was ok.
Old decoration, I think they need to renovate to refresh the hotel. the atmosphere is a bit horror. the corridor and lobby were too dark. reminds me of a haunted house. I was afraid of ghosts.
The room was spacious, and the bathroom and shower were impeccably clean. The bed was very comfortable, and having several pillows added to the coziness of our stay. Our room view was perfect. Although we checked in late and the reception was closed, they provided us with a keycode for the digital locker at entrance, allowing us to retrieve the key and enter without any issues. It was a seamless and comfortable solution.
One of my expectations for the bed sheets is that they should be white, but they were creamy instead. I wasn't sure if this was due to age or if it was the original color. Additionally, there was no kettle in the room, which was surprising.
