Hotel Goldene Sonne

Loved everything about this hotel! The rich history of the property, the location, the staff, the breakfast! The room was spacious and well appointed and the bathroom was large as well. We will definitely book here again

Good adress af the hotel direct in historical centre of nice town.

My room was totally out of the hotel building with entrance from parking place.

- it's in the centre- shades create complete darkness (had a good sleep)

- not much food options for breakfast - open wifi

The light switches on the walls were a little challenging as many seemed to be on an all or nothing option — all lights came on or off, and all lights dimmed or brightened together. It was difficult to control individual lights.

Lovely newly renovated hotel in the heart of one of Landshut's main streets. The room was large and clean, with warm heating and away from any road noise.

This is an excellent old hotel in the center of Landshut. The staff is excellent and extremely helpful from complicated questions to the most mundane. We left our rental car in Landshut and the staff arranged for airport transport at the ungodly hour of 3,30AM and the cab was on time and whisked us to the airport in record time. We were only here three nights and had dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening and the food and drink was excellent. Hotel dining can be a crapshoot but this restaurant is worth a visit.

We liked everything about the hotel. Would like to have stayed longer.

We were very pleased and glad at Goldene Sonne. Nice staff,...very good bregfast,...and our room "Theresa" super nice. We have booked another stay in a few days.Trausti Thor Gudmundsson and Anna Sigridur Markusdottir from Iceland.

Noisy ventilation system located in the backyard made it impossoble to fully open the windows to get fresh air in during the night. Resulting in a night with very little sleep. Combination of heat and noise...

The entrance is absolutely stunning. This is an old building full of charm and character.It is very clean and tidy with comfortable rooms and a good breakfast.

Good location. Dinner at the restaurant at the hotel is very good. Staff is kind and provide information clearly.

A bit dark in the room.

The Hotel Goldene Sonne is well located in the town centre within easy walking distance to most sights and restaurants. Great to walk about the town and to head out for riverside walks along the Isar. The hotel team are helpful and welcoming, and the rooms are very comfortable.

The breakfast has suffered from the economic turndown! The food on offer is minimal, having been there many times this is an obvious cutback!The room Wi-Fi is unprotected and doesn't require a login but it is also minimal, blocking access to many Https sites due to inappropriate setup.

Clean, accessible, easy parking. But the best part of our stay was the wonderful people! Cannot recommended more highly! If you stay in Landshut, stay at Hotel Goldene Sonne!

Great location, very nice rooms.

Unfortunately it was holiday season for the restaurant, we also had a problem with the room lights, nothing drastic.

Acidic scent in room from strong cleaning products, a little noise from other rooms

Have stayed in the Sonne some years now, since 2009. The staff are still as nice and accommodating. You can't complain about the location when this hotel sits on the Neustadt (new city). Extremely convenient to all amenities you need.

The rooms are so tight and there is nowhere to hang towels in the toilet. One bottle of water regardless how many nights you stay. Food spread at breakfast is quite limited. I went down at 9am on a Sunday and there was hardly any food left. But then, the price was very low, so I would say it's still "value for money"!
