Hotel Central

Staff were extremely polite; my room was very clean; the hotel is really close to the old town centre (about 5 minute walk); breakfast was abundant.

I found the room to be too hot, the heating was constantly on without a real reason for it to be. I had to keep my window open which seemed a bit of a shame.

Excellent location, 15 minutes walk from the train station, 5 minutes to the Old Town Hall, and one minute to the pedestrian street shopping area. Room was modern and very nice. The staff was wonderful

No A/C. Tiny shower. For what I ended up paying including breakfast I expected somewhat better but it worked out well enough. No complaints overall.

The rooms. The rooms don’t have a fridge or a kettle. Also there is no free hot water or coffee facility. You have to pay for this from a machine in the lobby using coins. The beds are twins joined together which is fine, but the pillows felt like a couple of socks thrown into a bag. Very uncomfortable and led to a lot of neck and back stiffness in the morning. I would consider these things table stakes in any hotel.The owner/manager. There was a lady who I assume was the manager as she was bossing around the staff. When we were working in the common room area she would walk in and turn the lights off. And then leave the door open with the music blaring outside without saying anything to us working. After closing the door and turning lights back on she later came back and questioned “do we really need the lights on”. I get saving electricity, but this was a dark room. She also would stroll into the common area talking on her phone at max volume with no consideration. It felt like she wanted to be the top dog and everyone to know it. All this added massively to a feeling of being unwanted all for €0.30 saved in electricity costs.

Great location, I had a room with balcony which was nice to be able to get given very few offer this. Room was small but my main problem was a constant noise coming from back of the toilet. Even if you closed the door, you could still hear it . I had to use plugs in my ears for 3 nights. Clean & the hotel is nice.

Traditional-style hotel in the centre of Bamberg (only a 15-minute walk from the station). We were served by Tim who was extremely pleasant and enjoyed chatting with us. The room was well-equipped, the bathroom was modern, and the beds were so comfy (both my friend and I slept like babies). Very affordable for a hotel in the town centre too.

for a person with straight overweight, it would be impossible to get into the shower. There’s only a small gap and the door does not open so that an easy access is possible. Disabled would not be able to use the room.

Room was very clean, with a good supply of towels.It's very close to the bus station and only a short walk to the old town.

There's no air conditioning, and although a fan was provided, it was ineffectual, so it was too hot to sleep, even with the windows open, which was also problematic as the street is very noisy all night.Take ear plugs and stay here in the cooler months, and it'd be great.

Powerful construction noise from 7 am on; no crib for a child despite the full payment for two adults and one child and despite a request made in advance; no water boiler; an iron only upon request; two-person rooms are too small for staying with a child; horrible interior design of passages/pictures on the walls and minimal illumination; a hot-drinks machine at the reception accepts only coins; hot water during the breakfast only upon request; a bit far from a public parking; too expensive for the value

The self-service aspect was a bit impersonal. There are basically no staff or at least none that you interact with

Great location for visiting Bamberg . Paid parking nearby . Room had just about everything you might need and was clean and comfortable. Staff pleasant and helpful . Generous breakfast.

Bathroom is big and well designed

Advertised as having parking but it is actually a nearby public carpark with low clearance that doesn't fit a 9-seater van. Had to find another carpark quite a distance away. Cost €18 overnight.
