Hotel Alt-Ringlein

The location cannot be beat! It's walking distance to everything in Bamberg that you would want to see or experience. The restaurant is excellent and serves smoked beer from the brewery across the street. My room was spacious, spotless, warm, and the bed was comfortable. Check in was easy and they let me keep my bag there after check out because I had a 9PM train. I really enjoyed my stay here. Highly recommended.

Great location. Cool old school vibe of the hotel with keys instead of keycards. Right in the middle of old town.

Check-in time limit: We arrived late to Bamberg due to work constraints and we had to rush in order to get to the reception on time, otherwise we would have been unable to check-in, i guess leaving us roomless (as per their email) even though the room was prepaid. Seems kind of extreme. There should be someone in reception 24/7 for these prices. I expect that in a B&B, not a hotel in the middle of town. I must say though that we called ahead and the lady working that shift was very nice and waited a bit longer than normal for us to retrieve the key. Would still go back regardless.

It was very loud at night when trying to sleep. But they did offer sleepy gummies which did help!

Convenient location, clean and had helpful and friendly staff

Parking was a little difficult but we made no arrangements in advance.

Located a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral and old court house and with many restaurants nearby. Room was very clean and the bed comfy. Lots of choice for the included breakfast. We were also able to get on site parking. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Nothing really, though missed being able to make a cuppa in our room - something we probably take for granted in Australia.

It was a little loud at night since it is right next to several bars. In the summer this might be an issue since there is no AC.

I booked this place on last minute, and I could not be more satisfied. Right in the heart of city, with the famous Schlenkerla spot right after the corner. Breakfast was very good with diversity of products from eggs to cereals, cheeses to fruits, fresh bread and good coffee. They also have a restaurant displaying great local food and fresh beers on tap for lunch and dinner. So, it is a great place for staying at Bamberg.

Location was great, however, the parking has to be reserved up front. If a receptionist tells you to take the luggage out of the car, please do it :) The parking lots are small, you will have problems taking the luggage out after parking :)The staff was friendly, the rooms very clean, there was noise from the street at the evening, but silence after 9pm-it is the city center, so cannot complait about it really :)Good wifi conectionTV with channels in english as wellGood breakfast

This hotel is located in the heart of Bamberg so it's a very convenient location. Breakfast was wonderful with a wide variety of food to choose from.My room was very spacious with ample room and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Everything was perfect so no problems with anything.

Breakfast was great and location very central. The hotel appears to be we’ll-kept and staff is friendly and efficient. The rooms were very clean. Location is within walking distance of a bus stop and very close to the center of Bamberg and the sights.

The ceilings in the room were very low because it is a very old building. The bathroom was one step lower than the bedroom. This would be a challenge for someone with limited mobility or very tall. But this is beyond the control of the hotel.

Location was great! Right in Alrstadt Bamberg near Christmas Markets. Beautiful town. Hotel breakfast was great!

Staff very helpful and responsive to residents needs and concerns.

Bathroom shower doors need to be repaired and adjusted. Doors did not to close firmly to prevent water from getting outside of shower onto bathroom floor. Hotel staff made note of this problem.

The location was fantastic! Next to old town and Dom. parking for our little car was great. Breakfast was plentiful and good!

The noise from the beer gardens lasted til after midnite.

The hotel is in the midst of the historical city. The hotel has its own excellent restaurant and there are many in the area. The surrounds are full of interesting shops and historic buildings. The breakfast was extensive with hot and cold selection. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel staff were welcoming.

also it's too center. Difficult to access by a car, forget about driving there. Roads are almost always one way, so if you're lost, one more big round. It took me more than 30 mins to find the spot to park and get there. To help you reducing you time, go to Tiefgarage Altstadt. 18€ 24h.It's sometimes loud at night cause it surrounds by restaurants and bars so people stick around and drink and make noise.

Room was a little tired and there was mold in the shower.

The location for exploring this beautiful town is just perfect. The breakfast offers multiple choice for any taste and is very generous. The room had a great proportion. We could not have booked a more convenient hotel.
