- Great location, large comfortable room
- Friendly, helpful and professional staff at reception, clean, warm and comfortable room, large and convenient bathroom. Beautiful building with excellent location in the historic centre.
- Good location
Cons -
- Small thing, noise from next door bathroom, could hear all talking and the loud water system. Not a disaster, but noticeable
- Room was small on top floor. Bed was ok, biggest issue was temperature. Room heating on all day but struggled to get to 19°c.
- Thin walls...I could hear the person snoring next door.

Good location
Room was small on top floor. Bed was ok, biggest issue was temperature. Room heating on all day but struggled to get to 19°c.
Ideal central location with instant access to the museum, piazza, bars and restaurants
Location. Frescoes on wall of breakfast room
Thin walls...I could hear the person snoring next door.
The very modern rooms are quiet and comfortable (great shower and beds). We enjoyed the generous breakfast selection and the great coffee brought to the table to order. The hotel is in a beautiful location, right in the center of the historic part of Mantua. The vast Palazzo Ducale is just across the hotel.
I had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel in Mantua! My room had a breathtaking view of the Ducal Palace that I couldn't get enough of - waking up to that view each morning was truly special. The room itself exceeded all my expectations. It was incredibly spacious, immaculately clean, and so comfortable that I didn't want to leave. The bathroom deserves special mention - it was absolutely luxurious and really made my stay extra nice. The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming, always ready to assist with recommendations and requests. The hotel's public spaces are gorgeous and really add to the overall experience.Location-wise, you can't do better - everything Mantua has to offer is easily accessible from here, making it the perfect base for exploring this wonderful city.I'm already planning my return visit. Highly recommend this gem!

Location. The beauty of hotel restoraruon
In the 21st c. =The more expensive the hotel the more it looks like a monks cell. There was t a chair in the room. No where’d to put anything. Lots of empty space to pile stuff on floor. We visited in Dec. took two days for room to warm up.
Stunning gem of a hotel in Mantua! Helpful and friendly staff helped me to extend my stay I loved it so much! Very beautiful place to make your base for exploring Mantua. Amazing cafes and restaurants nearby and across from Ducal Palace museum which is stunning!

Fantastic location. Basic but utilitarian and clean. Very nice bathroom rooms were spacious.
Fabulous location. Exceptional surroundings, perfect for exploring the ducal palace and beautifully decked out. Kind attentive staff. Best hotel we stayed in during our Italy trip by a long way - our apartment was huge and super comfortable.
Cant think of anything!
The room was quite nice and was spacious, the reception staff were very helpful. I needed to find a self service laundry, and one of the reception desk’s women really went out of her way to locate one for me, arranged a taxi to bring me to the laundry and spoke with the owner of the laundry to ensure she would help me get a taxi to get back to the hotel. The hotel was located close to lots of restaurants and shops. And even though the hotel was on a big square it was peaceful and not noisy. Breakfast was okay.
Location, Location, Location... I came to Montua to study and photograph several historic buildings and discovered that this building is itself an historic building right across the plaza from the Ducal Palace and an easy walk to the Rotunda, and a little longer walk to several other buildings on my list. Beyond that it was elegant and comfortable with large, lovely room and bathroom. The dining room is original and covered with Renaissance era frescoes...and views across the plaza to the Ducal palace. My room was quiet, the bed was luxurious... Breakfast was splendid...Could not ask for more!
The hotel itself is beyond reproach and there is nothing about it that I could improve, but getting to the hotel in a car is challenging because of the complicated system of pedestrian areas surrounding it and parking is not at the hotel but in a nearby private underground garage. So, if you are going to arrive in a car you must know in advance exactly how to navigate the historic district or you will find yourself in trouble with the police (and filmed by the ever present surveillance cameras used to get your license number and mail you the ticket) or at the end of a one way dead end street or similar. There is a route that will easily take you safely to the plaza on which the hotel sits, but only to the edge of the plaza, you cannot drive right up to the hotel, but must park at the edge of the plaza and take whatever baggage you have across the cobblestone paving, check in, and then return to drive your car to the parking garage nearby. (no valet parking) If you know in advance about the pedestrian zones and know in advance exactly which route to take to get to the hotel you will have no trouble, so it pays to be sure you know, and you cannot rely, as I did, on the on board navigator in your car that might lead you through pedestrian zones resulting in heavy fines automatically issued by the robotic system. But a stay at this extraordinary hotel is certainly worth a little planning ahead of time or a call or email to the hotel for exact directions. I will also say that there are good reasons for the pedestrian zones in an ancient city like this (with ancient narrow streets) that contribute to everyone's enjoyment.
Location, helpful staff.
This is designated a 4 star hotel. There are just paper cups in the rooms for coffee and no milk. You would expect better.
The room was very nice and the view outside spectactular. The breakfast room also very attractive but the breakfast itself was rather average
Our room was very nice but there was a nasty smell in the bathroom. We stayed two nights and reported it to the receptionist (and the cleaner) after the first night. The cleaner did I think spray something in the bathroom but after the second night (without the bathroom fan on at night) a very nasty smell had again built up in the bathroom. I told the receptionist that it didn't seem to be the drains but suggested that it might be a dead mouse in the roof above our room (we were on the top floor). The receptionist was mildly apologetic but we didn't get the feeling that anyone was going to do much about it. The cost was quite expensive and I was surprised that the hotel didn't offer us a different room or some rebate.
Breakfast was good . Hotel in great location opposite Ducal Palace. Staff very pleasant but not knowledgable on basic info re city
Location of the hotel was brilliant. Breakfast was very nice. We were upgraded to a larger room although my mother in law had to move rooms at the hotels request after one night which wasn’t ideal.
Having to move one room was only issue. Everything else was very good and staff were sympathetic about room and we got a 50 euro refund.
Nice size room , unfortunately no view , good shower
Would suggest that a hotel of this standard should have better tea and coffee facilities in the room (maybe not paper mugs ) and extra pillows would be useful
Facilities and location
It is a pity that there is no lobby, hall or cafeteria to stay it is not like a hotel in this sense.
