The staff was exceptional! Very helpful and pleasant. And everything else was good enough for the price. Especially proximity to sea and beach!

Shower is tiny but manageable and mattresses are bit uncomfortable but fine.

Host and Staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. Beautiful and peaceful location!

Location close to Slovenian border and their coastal towns. Had a seafood restaurant. Was close to a local bar down by the harbour.

On my motorcycle journey from Amsterdam to Croatia, I stumbled upon this charming hotel just meters from the border. It feels like stepping into an old well-to-do Aunt's holiday home—nostalgic and in need of a little love, but undeniably endearing.My stay was nothing short of amazing. The owners were fantastic, making me feel right at home. It's clear that this place is a favorite among regulars, and I can see why.The hotel's restaurant is a highlight, opening up to a huge balcony with tables shaded perfectly for a relaxed meal. The kitchen serves fresh, daily catches that make for a delightful dining experience. It brought back fond memories of my childhood family holidays, especially with the massive swimming pool in the garden.One memorable evening, I enjoyed a great dinner followed by perhaps a bit too much wine and grappa. I ended up sharing motorcycle adventure stories with the owners late into the night—an unexpected and delightful bonus to my stay.The hotel offers ample parking, which made me feel secure leaving my motorcycle overnight. The area is very quiet and safe, providing a peaceful retreat.I will definitely be back on my way to another destination. This place is a hidden gem that offers a nostalgic, comfortable stay with wonderful hospitality. Highly recommended!

Great location near the border with Slovenia, with efficient and punctual buses both ways. Handy for swimming in the Adriatic, but big saltwater pool for those who prefer not to. Friendly and efficient staffAircon good

Lizard found in bed, uncomfortable bed felt like sleeping in a hole, walls that need cleaning, warm water in the shower only sometimes available on floor 3, bad attitude at check out, nobody at reception after 7pm

The room was not more than a minimum Standard. For people who are prone to Moskito stitches I must give the advice to not use this Hotel because there were so many of them in the room but also during the dinner outside

Great location - just a 2-minute walk from the beach and good for a trip to Trieste by a car.:) An amazing swimming pool with salty water and if you book a room with a balcony and a sea view - you will really enjoy it! They clean the room very well. The place had great potential (despite older furniture and equipment) if used properly. Breakfast is not like in the pictures, but good :) (but the same every day).

We were disappointed during our arrival. We requested a stay with a dog which was the main reason for choosing this hotel. We wrote it into a special request (official request on Booking.com) but during the arrival, the receptionist was not really polite and said to us nothing was announced and that it is a big problem. She used sentences such as "it is normal to say" and when we showed her that it had been properly requested, she just answered it was not said enough "by this way". The hotel policy says: "pet-friendly" and you do not need to request anything. We properly announced the dog in advance and we also saw 3 more dogs during our stay, so we really did not understand the behavior of the receptionist at all... The second disappointment happened during the dinner there. The food was overpriced for nothing. During our journey via Italy, Croatia, and Slovenia, we enjoyed better seafood for a smaller price. (Also no problem at all with our special request - dog. We requested the same way everywhere - 7 hotels. So obviously only this hotel had a problem with that...)

The restaurant is fantastic! Nice sea food. View is perfect from the rooms and the terassse. Nice next to the water.

Air conditioning doesnt work, but nice stuff changed our room without problem. Hotel needs repair and modernisation, but we didnt miss anything.

The location is hard to find but nice.

We didn't feel welcome and the owner seemed annoyed by the number of kids. The rooms are very basic and the is hardly any room within a room. Bathrooms were very basic as well.

Great find ... Hotel is an old design enhanced totally by great tasteful artistic decor .. A bit of a time warp really and is fascinatingly interesting especially if your mind likes wacky rather than the boring vanilla experience. The owner couldn't have been more helpful thanks. Pool, garden and location is fantastic.

This hotel deserves attention. Absolutely unique style. Restaurant in a pleasant natural environment. The food was absolutely perfect and unique, at a very high level and can be compared to very famous restaurants. The chef is a specialist and prepares food so wonderfully that one can enjoy the look. I'd love to come back here someday

The hotel is close to the sea and can be reached on foot. Boa beach is also close by but you have to go there by car. The owners are very nice, breakfast is pretty basic but the kiwi cake was very delicious. The view is beautiful. An important aspect for us was to have free and direct parking for the accommodation, they have ;)

Unfortunately the furniture in the hotel is old-fashioned and the bed - as written - is very uncomfortable. The shower head fell out of the holder and the shower cabin door would also need to be replaced. Tiny but annoying that the bathroom mirror is already worn out, not a large amount to be replaced
