    Pros +

    • The hotel is a close walk to town and so beautiful - old world charm with modern amenities. The staff was amazing and attentive, the views were gorgeous.
    • Beautiful rooms. The restaurant had beautiful frescos.
    • Facility, and especially the staff, were excellent. Marika, who first greeted us upon arrival, helped me back into the tight parking space, and showed us to our room , was fantastic, and could not be more gracious and professional. Balcony was well designed to provide a decent view of the lake.

    Cons -

    • There is no direct access to the lake, BUT there are access points 15-20 min walking in either direction and the pool and views were excellent. This is just an FYI - we very much enjoyed our stay
    • It’s not directly on the water and is a short walk from town but not directly in town. It’s a small issue.
    • Parking spaces could have been larger, but, there doesn't appear to be much room for expansion in that area.

The property was very well maintained. It had many pleasant areas in which to sit. The garden area, although not large, was very pretty. The staff were incredibly helpful in both organising trips and arrangements before we got there. This was a special birthday trip and they helped to make it a really good celebration. The breakfast was particularly good, with a large variety of both fresh and dried fruit every day. The building also had an interesting history, along with some super portraits and frescos.

    Nothing - it was superb.

Beautiful building, super nice rooms with great view (managed to keep the heritage while giving it a modern comfort), excellent food, very good and nice service

Road in front of the hotel can be a bit disturbing, no direct access to the lake

Attentive staff. Food was second to none. Room with a view.

Didn’t find anything we didn’t like.

Historic building. Great staff. I had a very pleasant stay. Nice view of the lake from my room. Very good restaurant. Did you know that the building used to house the ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Social Republic during the period that Salo was the capital of Italy (1943-1945).

Beautiful location. Excellent breakfast in the terrace and overall facilities. Very friendly personal Room was big and very clean.

This is an elegant hotel with beautiful views of the lake. The staff take extraordinary care to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Everything is well maintained and first rate. The breakfast is bountiful with choice options. We had dinner at their restaurant one evening and were disappointed that the quality of the food did not come up to the level of everything else about our stay.

    No negatives.
