Could not adjust the ac. When I complained that the room was too hot, the receptionist came and switched the ac off.

Everything! Or room was very clean and well appointed. We had a view of the mountains from our bed! Omima,at the desk, was especially helpful with our problems.All with a smile! Wonderful breakfast as well!

My room was a nice room but I didn’t understand the decor concept. I felt like I was at a pediatric centre. My room had 2 sinks in the middle of the room. I don’t know if it was a cultural thing, but the sink in the bathroom is enough. Breakfast could have more fruit.

The staff is very friendly, the location amazing and the breakfast has homemade pies as well. I go to Riva almost 4 times per year, I believe it is by far the best overall property I have stayed at. Also they have parking whereas most hotels say they have and they don’t have enough parking spaces.

Breakfast was great. Staff was very helpful. We would stay there again. And there is a garage!

Nice location, excellent room clean spacious with modern decoration. variety and quality food for breakfast. Helpful and kind staff. Big plus the parking spot if someone arrives by car.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, that was our most traumatic stay ever and ruined our holidays. We travel a lot and never before have we met so aggressive hotel owner that we had to run from the accommodation. He entered our room without our permission, pushed me, kicked our bags lying on the floor and started throwing around our private things yelling it’s his house and he can do whatever he pleases! When my wife protested and blocked his way he started threatening her with his fists, then mocked her and yelled she’s in Italy and should speak Italian rather than English. This all happened simply because 5 minutes earlier we asked hotel staff to leave our room that they entered (also without permission, even though we shouted NO!) while we were taking a shower. Later after the whole fuss the owner caused he claimed they had to enter because lamp in our room broke and it was a safety matter. Lamp was broken from the day we arrived so either the owner lied and it wasn’t urgent at all (we believe he forgot to tell us somebody is coming to fix that, probably already paid and didn’t want to loose his money due to the fact room was unavailable) or didn’t care about our safety at all while he checked us in. Given the fact how aggressive the owner was and that we were unable to lock ourselves in the room from the inside we were too scared to spend the night there so we packed our bags as fast as we could and left immediately. Later that day we received WhatsApp message claiming it was simply a misunderstanding and asking if we could come to agreement. We demanded refund for remaining stay but hotel refused. We feel very sorry for all the girls working with this man, they seemed really all right but being physically abused and yelled at is simply unacceptable and there was no way we could stayed there for any longer.

The location was excellent.. a very short walk to the center. Selly was so sweet. She really made our stay pleasant with her friendly personality. Breakfast was also amazing.

This property had parking, very close to the lake, shopping, and restaurants. The staff was friendly and made touring recommendations. The breakfast was 5 star breakfast buffet.

Great location to old town access. Immaculately clean. Full breakfast with quality ingredients.

Room was over designed. Bathroom too narrow. AC kept resetting to cold 19.5. The decor of using harsh green and orange was in contract with old town style. Staff barely knew English and did not offer helpful suggestions. They were also overwhelmed cooking and serving at breakfast. Felt like temporary hires.

A very difficult hotel to rate in the context of an extended tour of notherrn Italy and having stayed in many hotels from small family run businesses to higher quality hotels. The hotel is in a great location within a very short walking distance of the centre, is very modern and spotlessly clean, the rooms are generous in size, quiet and the breakfast is good. The garden is an oasis to relax in.

From my experience and comparing to the other hotels we have stayed in, the experience felt very businesslike, cold and almost unwelcoming. The interraction with the hotel was very different to all of the others we've stayed in - very difficult to describe.

Accessible to the down town area by walking, great breakfast, and a clean room.

This is a really pleasant place and would be a great overall experience, if it were not for this one important issue.

The air-conditioning in the room was capped at a temperature that was uncomfortably warm for me, causing three nights of poor sleep, and it was impossible to lower it. It seems that the hotel is capping the temperature from a centralised system. After the first night, I complained and was told that the owner needed to allow lowering the temperature, which he did not. I kept complaining and asking for allowing me to lower the temperature throughput the stay. Afterwards, I was given some excuses about calling in a plumber, which was both not true and also didn't change anything with the room temperature kept at the same high level. Other guests told me they also complained about the temperature and were not allowed to lower it either. I understand wanting to save on electricity, but this quite radical restriction had a negative impact on my holidays and changed what otherwise would be a great experience into an unpleasant one. This is why I gave it a poor grade.

The location, the room, staff, everything was perfect. Room was clean and spaceous. Breakfast was delicious and the girls at the reception were very nice. Hotel is near bar and restaurants but also very quiet.
