Pros +
- It was very close to the lake and the attraction. Nice staff
- The location overlooking the square was breathtaking. We enjoyed listening to the music in being played in the square at night from our balcony and the view was stunning. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with getting us around the area and getting us passes to the vernacular and city transportation.
- 1. The room is very big and comfortable 2. The breakfast area has great vibes and views toward the lake 3. The location is perfect, closest to the lake ferry port, suitable if you have big and many suitcases
Cons -
- The pool is not heated, parking not free,
- The A/C in the entire building was out for our entire stay, and it was very hot while were there so sleeping at night was quite uncomfortable. I was happy we had a balcony so we could open up the doors at night but once morning came, it became loud with travelers getting their day started. Not really a complaint, just an FYI, ask if the A/C is working before you book.
- With such a nice hotel, they should provide bigger shower gel and soap. Not just a tiny tube.

Great location, excellent breakfast and helpful staff. We appreciated the secure bicycle storage space that was equipped with electrical outlets.
We appreciated the bicycle storage room, but it was not on-site, so a bit of a nuisance to store and retrieve bicycles.
The breakfast was exceptional. The dining room was beautiful. The location was great! Beautiful mountains surrounded an amazing lake. Shops, restaurants, and bars within easy walking.
No counter space in the bathroom. The shower was very small.
maybe the most picturesque views of the lake and main square I’ve ever stayed at! it was so amazing I extended a night and cut it out of one of my following stays
can be a bit noisy on the plaza during the late drinking hours but stay there again for sure anyway.
Clean, well organized and comfortable. Really good value. In the oldpart of town, on the lake and in themidst of all the amenities. Reminded me of Whistler Village back in British Columbia, Canada: mountain vibe with street musicians, hikers, mountain bikers and funky bar scene. Looking forward to returning.
Nothing. Parked directly in front of the reception doors on what seemed like the sidewalk. very small place adjacent to the busy street. Worked out okay and no one seemed to mind. Recommend pre-booking parking as spots seem to be at a premium.
Nice hotel with a fantastic location and view. Room was clean. Parking was provided further up the road.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing but overall it was a good stay.
Very clean central location
A little dated but still a really nice hotel . Parking a little tricky to find .
Location is its strength, you step out into the harbour and square, which is the heart of Riva Del Garda.
Rooftop views were amazing, free bike hire, large rooms, perfect central location
Location is perfect for exploring central Riva and Lake Garda as a whole, as the harbour/ticket office is right outside the front door. Views from front facing hotel rooms are beautiful, only surpassed by hotels further around who would have an unobstructed view down the lake.Rooms were of a very generous size, and the bathroom had all the facilities you could want. Cleaning service was quite thorough and new towels were delivered daily. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with even sparkling wine available. Those who demand a traditional cooked breakfast will still be left wanting, as only bacon and scrambled egg was available. But this is not what you visit Italy for - the cold cuts, cheese and large spread of different cakes and pastries on offer were infinitely better. The free hiring of bicycles was appreciated to get around - as the clientele of the hotel seemed mainly on the mature side, I can't imagine there'd ever be a case where there were none available to hire (there must have been around 30 or 40 bikes). This is a great way to get around as there are cycle paths all the way to Torbole, although caution is advised as there are a lot of pedestrians and fast cyclists.
The air conditioning and controls in the room were quite basic. The room felt cool enough, but the analogue dial didn't go any colder. Some of my family used the rooftop pool, and it isn't heated so it was freezing cold even on a 30 degree day - this may be either a good or bad thing for you depending on preference. The staff could have been a little friendlier.
This hotel is beautiful! Our balcony overlooked the plaza and water with breathtaking views. We would definitely stay there again.
The hotel was bright and clean. Staff were amazing and were friendly and professional. The pool was a bonus. The room was comfortable and had great views with a superb location with cafes right at the door step. Well soundproofed as there was the Fabia festival and with windows closed could easily sleep. Air conditioner was fine. Central place for seeing the sites and shopping. Highly recommended.
Everything was likeable, but I would suggest more variety at breakfast. The bar in reception could be manned during the night for a few hours. Also coffee and tea facilities in the room would be great. Otherwise I love this hotel and would surely come back.
Location Location & Location.
Annoying habit of setting lunch tables before breakfast was finished therefore restricting available tables. At this price point I would have expected a better breakfast menu. ie egg egg/omlet station.
Location was excellent. The at the front desk who met us at check-in was also fantastic.
Pool/ Spa - it’s really a large bathtub (maybe 5m long?) and a single ‘steam’ room that was off.Facilities - all stuck in the 70s. Could be cute if it was family run - but it’s a chain! A chain that needs to invest in updating! Bedroom - it was 32C outside, but they just gave us a duvet… no light sheets or blankets… and air con from the 90s that didn’t have a digital temperature dial but instead had a wheel from ‘cold’ to ‘hot’. Woke up multiple times either in sweat or freezing…Checkout - was at 10am. We asked to extend to 11am because we were sleeping so badly, at 11:05am as we’re about to leave the room, we get a call from reception to tell us off… excellent way to top off an awful stay.
Location and the lady at the reception
They allow dogs... except in the bar, restaurant, breakfast and pool area. So ... only in the room. The pool, sure. The bar?At breakfast i was even asked to leave (for reference, the dog is a 4.5 kg small dacshund in a basket, doesn t bark or move).-> dissappointing Then i have more respect to refuse dogs in general.
After we sorted out our room and moved to a much nicer outlook we loved the hotel. It’s right on the town square and overlooking the lake.
First room they showed us was small so we upgraded and ended up with a lovely room overlooking lake. Some Staff were not very nice to us but thanks to some lovely restaurant staff we ended up enjoying our stay very much.
