Design Suite Tirano

The room is beautiful, best location if you have to take the Bernina Express next day early morning. The room was spacious, beds were comfy, surrounded by mountains. Worth it. Would definitely stay there again.

The check in instructions are not clear. The rooms are in a different bldg and the check in is in the different hotel. 2 min walk. It took some time to figure that our. Other than that the hotel room was really good.

The staff was incredibly helpful, and would do anything to make sure that we had a great stay!

Although Check-in was in another building, the location of the room was very close. It made lugging around our bags a bit more difficult, but totally worth it for the room!

breakfast , lunch was excellent. Very friendly waiter service. Hotel location was perfect and quiet, short walk from transportation. Best ice cream store was only 100 yard away. Beautiful small city.

The check-in was difficult and time consuming. The text message to tell us to go to a different hotel to check in was not received on time. There should be directions at the entrance location stating where to check in. This would prevented much anxiety. My spouse was very upset.

We did not have breakfast included. Location was great.

I think would be better to have a “normal design /style”.

Worth the money, short walk from the train station and restaurants.

I would have wanted to be notified of the check-in process before hand, so that the extra walk to and from design suites to hotel bernina for check-in would have reduced.

Walking distance from the train station! :) They have lotions/creams, intimate washes, shower caps which other hotels/accommodations do not offer.

I wish we were given a clear check-in process. We already walked towards the gate of the property with out heavy luggages, and when we arrived it was said in the gate it was said that we should walk back to the hotel near the train station to check-in.

I liked the large clean room, the secure parking (chargeable). The Property is a five minute walk to Bernina express train station. Hotel Bernina breakfast is great. I also had lunch at cafe novecento.

The Lightning in the indiana room. Although, I didn’t raise it with hotel Bernina. So they didn’t have a chance to help.

Location was close to train station and main restaurants. Room clean and shower facilities excellent.

Could not control the room temperature as upon asking were told it was pre-set. Room was quite warm especially at night. Phone was not working, and although we reported it, it was still not repaired. A working phone is a must as the lodging is away from the hotel thus immediate communicate with reception was not possible. We also tried the restaurant at the main hotel but quality and portions of food left much to be desired.

Good location close to rail station

The female member of staff who walked us to the accommodation was not very welcoming. Poor handover with no explanation to WiFi connection.

Booked night before Bernina Express. Location for that was perfect, Tirano itself didn’t have a lot open when we arrived so limited options for dinner. We were walked to the room after checking in at reception (different location) we were given clear and easy directions to follow for check in.

Everything was excellent since we arrived. The receptionist was very kind and gave us a complete and clear information about all the things we need to know. We really loved our room, very clean, comfortable and safe. Tirano is a beautiful city and it feels very safe as well. Thanks!

Maybe the waitress (the longhair lady) at the Bernina’s restaurant was not so kind with us and we felt like she was not “happy” with our visit. However, the bartender guy instead was very kind and friendly.

Convenient location, very close to the train station and shopping / eating area. We were allowed to leave our luggage before and after the stay.

One of the shutters in the room was broken which the support stuff could not fix. At night after we returned from dinner we realized that the room had no privacy due to the broken shutter and was clearly visible from outside. It was too late and too tiring to request a room change at that time. Following morning when I reported this the receptionist just noted this as problem and did not offer anything to compensate for the inconvenience. After some persuasion a complimentary breakfast was offered.Please note that the rooms in this hotel are in a separate building without any support staff. As no one answered the phone call for help I had to walk twice to the main building (Hotel Bernina) to get help.

The location was very close to the center, easily accessible, very close to the train station and the shopping street. The room was big enough, all amenities were perfectly placed, TV with many channels, warm enough.

Checkin was at the Hotel Bernina - something we discovered only after dragging our luggage to the room site. Rep at Hotel Bernina also gave us wrong room location.

At least the staff member found us a comfy room for a bit more money

No explanation where to check into the room. No mention of lack of AC. The room was over 90 degrees. For more money we were shown another room. Very poor communication on website. Needs explicit details perhaps in bold print

The property was in an excellent location. It was comfortable and a good size. Ability to park the car in a secure location was excellent Well presented

The room required maintenance. Particularly in the bathroom. Not major repairs but make it look loved
