Hotel Centrale Best Western Signature Collection

The staff at the reception were kind and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was nicely typical of an Italian city. The location is a 10 minute walk from the Bernina train station.

A little expensive, but since we had to be in Tirano and had to stay somewhere, we had to pay for it.

Very comfortable and not too far from the station. Customer service was very good and helpful.

This is a beautiful hotel, very attractive, modern and clean. The breakfast is a good deal for 10 Euros per person. You can walk to the train station/bus terminal, and Bernina railway station, restaurants, the main Basilica, laundromat, and shopping.

If you are coming from another major city on the train to Tirano, make sure you know how you are getting all the way to Tirano. They are working on the rail lines as of July 2025 and you must ride a bus from the train station at Lecco. It is worth it! Tirano is beautiful!

Everything was clean and new and the shower and bidet worked very well.

The Hotel Centrale Best Western had to move us on arrival to another hotel due to maintenance work. The alternative hotel was lovely and exceeded our expectations.

We had two rooms. Room 25 near the elevator had a thin uncomfortable mattress. Maybe buy some new mattresses that are more comfortable for guests.Also the barking dogs right next door to the hotel. They are obviously house dogs but during the day and early evening they were in the courtyard and very noisy and irritating. Immediately down from our rooms.

Located in the Old city. On the way to the Hotel, you also can see the New City and the Old one.

Spa Bath

The breakfast had a lot of variety. I stayed for 5 days and did not get bored. I had a room on the third (top) floor. It had great views of the mountains and church steeples over the rooftops. The vaulted ceiling was an extra bonus.

During my stay, the AC was inoperable. The hotel provided a fan which I used each evening. It was hot those day, around 30 C, but with the fan and the open windows, it was comfortable.

The staff was helpful and understanding when we could not stay due to the air conditioning not working.

The location was extremely difficult to find. There needed to be some explanation of how to reach it from the train station. I rated it negatively, otherwise, due to the fact that the air conditioning was out and the one window didn't allow circulation. We had to check out and find another hotel.

The hotel is well equipped. But, the air conditioner didn't work, it was 29.1°C in the evening in the room. It ruined our day and our rating...
