Hotel Bernina

Location is perfect! Step off the train and boom! there is the hotel. I was staying here for the night to go to St. Mortiz

The first night seemed to be fine, no complaints. However the second morning, I woke up and noticed several little bugs on the floor, then discovered more in my bed. I said something to the front desk, she got defensive and told me it was impossible.

Location was right next to the train station for the Bernina Express

No A/C and it was very warm in the room. I had to sleep with a cool wash cloth on my head.

The location was perfect because it was right across the train station; plus the hotel had very good food, room/toilet spacious

The terrace on 1st floor...gorgeous view of alps and central square.

I paid extra for the AC which only worked the first part of the night. In the morning, it was blowing heat.

Just 50m from the Tirano train station. If you take Bernina Express, this is the place to stay.Staff was really friendly and helpful.

The food at the restaurant was good but expensive.

Overall, the hotel is good and most of the staff are friendly. Only one person was quite rude to us, but it may have been due to the day and time we arrived, so we let it go. The hotel is well located and the breakfast is excellent.

Our room had mold on the bunk bed, which triggered allergic rhinitis in me and my children. The furniture is very old, and the cleaning of the furniture is poor.

Best location - arrived via train to take the Bernina Express - all within a very short walk. My room, a single room, had a door to the balcony with an awesome view of the mountains and the train station. If the weather allows it's a great place to sit outside. The restaurant that is attached provides all you need, a quick breakfast in the morning before departure or a late dinner after arrival. My room was 104 and also 106 has access to the balcony.

Beds are very small - they are twin size beds - getting used to this in Europe.

Very nice breakfast with many reasonable variety of food to choose,food quality is good!

It is right outside the train station and was the perfect place for traveling with someone who can't walk too far. Has an elevator and the restaurant downstairs was perfect.

The continence to the trains from milan and to the Bernina express were unmatchable. So close but not noisy.

I appreciated the room after a high-tech barren hotel I was in before. I like the tiles and comphy bed and nice bathroom and a real shower instead of a tub I find difficult to use for a shower. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very kind in the hotel.

I did not like my experience at the one dinner I tried. Maybe because I don't know how to order in Italian, but the staff was impatient with me and then kind of ignored me and there were only a few of us in the room. I was looking forward to my first meal in Italy and instead did not have a good experience. It was a reminder to use Google translate!

Great location, 2 mins from train station.Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Staff is very helpful and polite.Hotel has it’s own restaurant which is great, because most of the places in town close early

Blow dryer was ridiculous. Very difficult to use and not hot enough or strong enough

The staff was wonderful and super kind. Location to the Bernina Express & the Treno stazione. The piazza was so fun & the ristorante were great

The bed & the pillows were super hard

Very close location to the train station, just across the square. We decided to make a two day trip of the Bernina Express and overnight in Tirano. The hotel is an older historical building, exceptionally clean and quite comfortable. It has a restaurant but it doesn’t open until 7:30pm. Being early birds we opted for a nearby gelato cart and one of the cafes on the square. Appears to be very popular with tour groups, so quite busy.

No negatives

The location was right next to the transportation hubs and dining options. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious.

The quality of furnishings were so-so and the pillows sucked.

Great location if you are taking the train, as it is directly across the square. There are restaurants, a grocery, and a pharmacy within a block.

I was expecting a bit of noise from the square during the evening, but a band set up right under our bedroom window and played until 9:00 PM. If I stayed again, I would ask for a room not overlooking the square.
