Hotel Cavallino s'Rössl

The hotel is nice enough and underground parking is great. The attached bar/restaurant is probably great but all we had was a beer there at the end of our evening. Checkin was ok, limited english by the staff- but we got it done. There is a train station right across the street but it was a lot quieter than I thought it would be.

The waitstaff in the evening came off a little surly which is unfortunate- we may have stayed for more but that put us off. The location is ok but the closest eating and drinking options offsite are 5-10 mins away on foot.

We liked cleanliness and access to undeground garage (but extra 10 eur). Beds are pretty comfortable.

Condition of the bathroom is very poor, some elements are even dangerouns (shower seat, see photos). Room equpement is very basic, as is choice of foor for breakfast (there was no salad at all). TV is very small. Bathroom doors cannot be fully closed. Rooms oriented at Via Scuderia are VERY noisy. For 150 euros for 2 per night this is unacceptable.

Efficient check in. Convenient location next to rsilroad station. Great for efficient stay when in transit.

Hotel was worn, but roots were clean.

It was comfortable and staff welcomed us warm. It is just opposite side of train station. Breakfast was nice. We had pizza in the restaturant. Pizzas were wonderful.

Rooms a bit old fashion but comfortable. City center was a bit far for walking.

There is an elevator. The rooms were very basic and we heard a lot of street noise - it was a weekend and so people were out enjoying themselves until after 1 am

There is no private parking.

The hotel room was clean and spacious. The balcony is nice but the noise from the motorway too high. The parking lot in the garage is included in the price. The restaurant food is good with good level of choice. The staff is very helpful.

The motorway is very close and the noise is quite high during the night too, thus open windows during summer heat is a problem.

Great breakfast. The guy at breakfast and the one who checked us in was very nice. Great fresh pizza was delicious.

The room had no bar soap. Sink soap in dispenser like I was at a rest stop driving. The waiter we had for dinner was rude. Granted, he spoke little English, and we tried our best to convey our menu choice, he seemed angry. Brought us a couple beers and slammed them down on the table, and just walked away looking angry.

Room was near the elevator so it was quite noisy. Very soft pillows.

Only one thing. The smell. And this smell came from automatic aroma Diffusor. Very annoying.

Very nice and welcoming staff. Tasty breakfast. Room had a fridge to store some cheese and meat I bought as presents;-)

VERY impressed .. a 3 star hotel in fact worth more. also nice restaurant, very cooperative crew. and free parking close by. VERY OK, if back in Meran they are on MY list !

Check-in was a bit difficult as only restaurant staff was present with limited English skills. Nonetheless, they were helpful and friendly.

(Really) tasty typical tirolese meal, wonderful dessert (chef's special) and superb meal serving by the local staff in the restaurant.

Very friendly hosts and staff, comfortable rooms, great restaurant, and within walking distance of the city center. Our stay exceeded expectations, especially for the price. Very highly recommended!

Worst experience with a hotel in my entire life and I do 2 road trips per year ! 4 messages, calls, only after 4 days the hotel at last answered me that they cannot accept me to postpone the reservation, whereas my flight was simply cancelled and the hotel still had available rooms on their web site ! They claimed that they made mistake, would accept my reservation change which they never did in reality nor corrected their mistake with Booking. As a result,. Booking invoiced me the night that I never spent in that hotel even if the owner confirmed me on Whatsapp that they would not charge me.What an unprofessionalism !!!!

Super hotel well positioned for touring in the mountain passes. Good food and friendly staff.
