Pros +
- It's a super quiet and safe place, with very friendly and responsive hosts. All the amenities on the webpage were there, and it's very easily accessible with public transport. The South Tyrol Guest Pass is an amazing addition to booking a room, and it was a perfect hub for me to explore the rest of the region.
- I was very happy I found this place in Merano! The guesthouse is located in an old monastery building with a beautiful garden and amazing views. The city center is a 15 min walk away. There is also a bus stop 7 min away, where one can catch a bus to a few popular cable cars. The hotel provides a Merano guest card which allows you to use public transport for free. The amenities are very decent for a 3* hotel. The rooms were impeccably cleanIt was very peaceful and quiet 80% of the time. I loved the interior, old statues, crosses and furniture. There is a library, a prayer room, and a chapel in the building. The breakfast was very good for a 3* lodging and of excellent quality. There is a coffee machine and a fridge with some drinks in the lobby where one can get coffee/beers 24/7 for a small fee.
- Atmosphere, friendliness, cleanliness, quiet.Garden.
Cons -
- - There is no AC unfortunately, for a few nights we couldn't really sleep.- The rooms with balconies are offering little privacy. If your neighbors are sitting out on the balcony, it feels like they are sitting and talking right in your room. Overall, if you are unlucky to get noisy neighbors, you would hear absolutely everything through the balcony door even if they are in their room. - It would be great to have a microwave in the common kitchenettes. The rooms are very small but there are sitting rooms on every floor and a library.
- It got very warm in my attic room. An electric fan would have been welcome.
- I got a room with a view/balcony, which was nice, but the elevator stopped in my room - literally! Mostly during mornings a lot of 'traffic'....This was of course a big downside. I asked for a replacement, but i had to pay more and when I said I didn't have the money for it the woman at the desk gave me a smirk....

The location is very peaceful, (mostly) friendly people, good breakfast.

Great location, very clean, large room, excellent breakfast and kind and friendly staff
Peaceful, relaxing atmosphere with a great breakfast.
Beds very uncomfortable, no double beds available, had to sleep in single beds.
Breakfasts were hearty and you could help yourself to the home grown fruit at the door.
We had two single beds.
A different kind of experience staying amongst some nuns. It was beautiful and very well cared for! The staff and nuns were gracious and ideal hosts! Breakfast was delicious and really wonderful!
Location is awesome, view from our room was outstanding, interiors were also very nice, I felt that I lived in museum sometimes (in a good sense). This place outperformed our expectations and we loved it a lot.
Reception desk is often not occupied, but it is possible to call if something is needed.
- great location with the city center right around the corner- we liked the park and the Kneip Teich outside of our room- the breakfast was exceptionally good and we especially enjoyed the daily trip tips. The breakfast staff was super friendly
- very unfriendly receptionist that checked us in and sold us potentially wrong tickets for the spa in town. We really didn't feel welcome. - the rooms were just too hot. With 36 degrees on the last two days and no AC or at least ventilator, it was unbearable in our room - the beds were quite uncomfortable and too small for people over 180 cm - Overall, we will not come back here
great location, 15 minutes walk to the town center, comfortable and clean, excellent breakfast.
The hotel is in a very beautiful area of Merano, with a view that would fit any highly artistic painting. The garden is silent, well organized with beautiful view. Good atmosphere for reading and chilling.
Clean well furnished, nicely kept. Fab modern bathroom. Lovely grounds , good breakfast, honesty system for out of hours snacks and drinks, that was impressive. Nice restaurant really 2 minutes down the hill too.
Erm nothing really but the pension name seems odd.
Genuine breakfast, relaxing garden
Short beds, noi air conditioning, check-in closes early
It was clean and quiet place. Everything was well orginized and managed. The garden was beautiful. Staffs were friendly and supportive.
The bed made cracking sound. There was no fridge in the room.
Very friendly people, great breakfast and peaceful place.
Clean, quiet and excellent breakfast. They have a storage room for bicycles.
So peaceful and quiet, we had the most amazing view and the staff were wonderful. The breakfast was the best we have had on our 3 week trip in Europe…the location is a 15 min beautiful walk along the river and down a pathway to the center of town. The gardens were magnificent!! Free parking a plus, and a free bus ticket if you don’t have a car. 15% discount at the Terme and they take care of it right there!
No complaints…though WiFi a little spotty.
Very kind staff, good location, delicious breakfast, beautiful garden
Wonderful location, friendly / attentive staff, wonderfully spotless rooms with a great hot shower, incredible breakfast. Really appreciated the friendly & helpful staff. The grounds / gardens & Kneippanlage were wonderful to explore.
