About

Elegant yet casual, traditional and comfortable, Villa Bavaria welcomes you to the unique atmosphere of South Tirol, nestled between Austria and Italy. The Villa Bavaria is centrally located in a peaceful neighborhood near the center of town, where you can admire the Museum of Tourism and the Botanical Gardens in the Trauttmansdorff Castle. Back at the Bavaria, relax in the romantic garden with palm trees and cedars, enjoying a mild climate throughout the year. Villa Bavaria also offers a cozy restaurant. We do not offer dinner during winter and the wellness area remains closed.

    Pros +

    • This is a lovely, relaxing place which is exceptionally cared for, from the beautiful grounds to each interior space, sleeping rooms and public rooms alike. The bed was very comfortable and with black out curtains and no noise from anywhere, I slept beautifully. Each and every staff member , from Hannes the general manger to Roland at reception, has been exceedingly kind and helpful. I feel pampered and relaxed. The breakfast buffet has an enormous assortment of choices for any appetite and was very tasty. The pasta dish I had last evening was also very good. I chose to extend me stay here because I was having such an enjoyable visit.
    • Very friendly and welcoming staff. Close to town after short walk but not in town. Perfect.
    • The property was excellent however we were in the no air con anex which was fine except we had bug bites.

    Cons -

    • we were in an anex which was greart except we had bug bites during the evening.
    • I was conned into ordering a meal at check in. I decided to eat out but they charged me for it anyway. Also the hotel is full of very old people. All well over 90 years old. Not a single Italian amongst them. All German. I travelled 3000 miles to meet Italians in Italy and got treated like a geriatric at reception and had to put up with old Germans farting. Diner was hilarious. The clock struck 7 and they all came out together like dogs on a race track. Breakfast was troublesome. They all had their seats and table with evening menus to tick their preferences. The only thing missing was the television behind a cage. or piped soothing music.
    • Everything all right. Value for money.

The room maids were very good. The room was very clean.

Very nice little clean hotel, cosy and close to the city centre. Staff very friendly. They prepared a salad for lunch even though the kitchen had just closed. Value for money. The door to our room was an antique door consisting of two doors. So cute!

Everything all right. Value for money.

Everything was stellar! Starting from the front desk. The front desk was where true hospitality starts and sets the course for your stay and they really delivered, even exceeded expectations. One of the best The facilities and location were perfect. The room was lovely, with a balcony in the annex overlooking the garden and pool area. Breakfast and dinner was as expected from a quality 4 star. Thank you front desk for being the best in Italy in my opinion.

Nothing..maybe..WiFi at times is a little unreliable.

Fantastic hotel, Roland was extremely helpful with helping us locate a repairer for a damaged phone and couldn’t do more to help. Great location and facilities

Lovely garden, pool area and breakfast with very friendly and helpful staff. Really found my 1 night stay so relaxing and already planning to come back

I initially booked a normal room with „garden and Mountain View“ but turned out to have a view of the building next door. Staff were super nice about it and changed the room when I asked about it but I was initially a bit disappointed and think the hotel could make descriptions a bit more realistic to what you book

The service was impeccable, 5 star worthy

The hotel is extremely clean, but the rooms are slightly older, not worn or dirty, just a slightly older style, but that is reflected in the price, so still very good.

Amazing location, garden and food. Excellent service, huge thank you to the staff!

I was in general very happy.

This is a gem of a place close to the center of town, really enjoyed our stay here! The breakfast is a really nice spread and the evening meal is great value with €35 per head, never left feeling hungry. Plenty of parking and bike cellar. Room was clean and comfy and with a fridge but I think what really makes it, is the staff, they are awesome!

Breakfast was wonderful! Staff was so courteous and helpful. Loved the beautiful setting!

    We liked it all

The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was delicious, they freshly cooked the eggs, the choice for fruit was great!

The bed was too small, and I have a medium height, my feet would go off the bed

The property is beautiful. We were in the Jr. Suite with a balcony and we loved being able to sit there and look over the beautiful garden. Location was good and just a short walk in to town.

Nice staff, big room, great breakfast.

    Rooms etwas outdated. Keine A/C.

The location was 10 minutes walking from the center. The hotel looks elegant, classy. The interior is stylish, the facilities are great (indoor and outdoor swimming pool are very nice; the garden is beautiful; the terrace is amazing), the personnel is extremely professional, pleasant, helpful and receptive to any request. The room I stayed in was modern, large enough, elegant, spotless, with comfortable bed and efficient air conditioning. The breakfast is extremely good in terms of variety, quality, taste. Moreover I was given a Merano card which I used to access free public transportation and some touristic attractions. I also booked dinner at the hotel's restaurant and it was a delicious and very pleasant experience.

The balcony from my room I could not enjoy due to the rain. It also faces an area with traffic so it is not a quiet place, however this is minor inconvenient.

Beautiful and grand former villa. Beautiful location. Nice garden setting. Indoor & outdoor swimming. Grand public rooms. Bedrooms ok if a bit tired. Super friendly & helpful staff, all of them. Car parking. Excellent breakfast.

Open Wifi facility not the best. Small bathroom.
