The 3-star Hotel Amaten is surrounded by the Dolomites and features a nice furnished garden overlooking the landscape and Brunico. Set 5.6 mi from Brunico, it features a well-equipped wellness area. Cons -
- Bathroom has an improvised sliding door where only one half of it slides giving you a passage only 37 centimeter wide to get into the bathroom. Also, when the door is closed on top part the bottom part is open by 2 cm.There are only 2 electric outlets. One in the bathroom and one between the entrance and the room. You cannot connect your notebook or mobile phone close to your bed.Ventilation fan in the bathroom is the loudest that you will ever hear giving off noise of 70 dB at 1 meter distance. Noise isn't smooth but varies widely in frequency and spectrum.

Nice location with great views to the Kronplatz mountains. Good starting point for walks in the surroundings. Both dinner and breakfast are recommendable, with a good choice of food. The rooms are very quiet and you get a relaxing sleep. The personnel is welcoming and kind. Easy parking next to the hotel.

View from the room is amazing. Hosts were great, one evening they organized little gathering near the fire with food and wine. Breakfast was buffet with wide selection and for dinner you choose between two menus(3 courses).
The hotel is really wonderfull. The room, delicious food, great “family” atmosphare of the place, staff, services…all was perfect. If I could rate the hotel 20/10, I would do it. We will definitely come back?
The service, the view, the room it was all beyond incredible. The food deserves a special mention as every bite we ate was fresh and absolutely delicious. The location is fantastic for ski-ers as well as hikers. The sun rises and sun sets made us want to extend our stay. we definitely will go back, the first chance we get. All-in-all is truly perfect.
