Hotel Garni Hochgruber

The room was a bit small, but the location is excellent with a stunning view. Breakfast was okay, not the best but good enough. The staff were nice and helpful, and the hotel also offers parking, which was very convenient. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Sweet and nice welcoming. Great location to get early to lago di brais and cortina dampezzo . Very good breakfast with a lot of home made dessert . Rooms very nice large and clean . Parking lot near the hotel . We enjoyed our stay .

Good and clean room, good breakfast, nice staff.

It says that the room is soundproofed but it’s not true, I had very bad sleeping, the noise from neighbors was very high that made wake up several times, you hear everything like they were sitting with you in the same room, there’s no quite hours rule in the hotel, I liked everything but won’t stay there again because I couldn’t sleep and relax well. They should be more strict regarding noise.

The hotel needs more improvements and when I booked o have seen that they have swimming pool, but it turns up that on another building and need from me to pay for it.

Really nice hotel with really nice views. Very large parking place. Super nice restaurant next to the hotel. Hotel has Alpen vibes which was really cool. Overall good breakfast

All was perfect. Nice big toom and extreemely good breakfast.The hospitality was excellent, the owner very bey ki d and helpfull.

Secured parking

The location was picturesque, the staff was very nice and helpful, the accommodation was clean, the room was spacious and with a balcony.At the moment of our visit they also gave us bus tickets for free and bracelets to access a nearby spa center with a considerable discount - only 4 euro per person per day at the pools.The breakfast was very diverse.They also have a spacious parking in the inner yard.

The staff at reception were pleasant and very happy and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, cosy and comfy. The mattress was very comfortable: firm but not hard. My husband and I were admiring the carpentry, which was extremely well done and fitted to the house. There are beautiful views of the mountains and fields all around the property. We had a lovely large swing chair with an amazing view of the mountains in the garden just outside our room. It's also very easy to get into Bruneck town from here. The bus stop is 2mins away and there are buses running regularly throughout the day which take about 10-15mins to get into town. p.s. don't skip the breakfast and the homemade jams!!

We had a pleasant stay here at the hotel. The staff was lovely and made excellent recommendations (we had an excellent meal based on their advice). The room was quite basic but comfortable and clean. We were offered some passes for local sights.

The bed and pillow were slightly hard for me but no one else in my party had a problem.

The hotel is situated in a great location very close to ski lifts and apres ski bars. Very good steakhouse and pizzeria in the surroundings. The hotel offers the excellent breakfast only. Very familiar staff ready to help any time. I was there already for 3 times and I will come back again.

We liked the location of the hotel the most, but both the room and the breakfast were excellent. Everything is very well organized for skiers. The hotel has a heated depot for ski equipment with a separate entrance. We walked to the ski slope. There is also an excellent restaurant right next to the hotel.The landlady and the staff are very friendly.We are very satisfied. We felt comfortable and relaxed.

There is no fridge in the room.

I enjoyed the ski deposit, the free parking, the room size and decor, the spacious balcony, the friendliness of staff and the rich breakfast. Also, the fact that the hotel is so close to the slopes is magnificent. Generally the hotel is warm and welcoming.

In the rooms the amenities are not sufficient, especially considering that most guests are skiing all day, one little satchel and a little soap for the room are not enough for 2-5 days stay (if you want to remain eco conscious I suggest investing in 500ml wall-mounted soap dispensers)!! Also one more towel would definitely be appreciated. One more thing, the rooms are not very well isolated from noise, but thankfully most people were respectful and at sleep by 11.

No air conditioning….. Value for money …. Room rate is too high for what you get .

The perfect location. A two minute walk from the hotel at you're at a cable car which takes you over 2,000m up Kronplatz, where you will enjoy breathtaking views - plus different hiking routes, great food and drinks (a lovely restaurant that wasn't overpriced) and even visit a gift shop! 31 Euro for a return trip - well worth the money. There's also a restaurant next door, with a separate bistro and steakhouse restaurant - reasonably priced for the area. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious! Lovely variety or meats and cheese, eggs as you like, fruits, cereals, breads, yoghurts and more pastries than a bakery! Yes there is no pool despite a rather misleading picture on Booking.com, BUT, don't let this put you off. There's is a fantastic leisure facility 4min drive away, where i think we got around 20-25% discount. For just 4 euro you enjoy the pools (you need a swimming hat for the proper lane-swimming pool) including a heated outdoor pool which was such a treat, esp at night. Plus a water-flume for kids. And then there's the spa (21 euro for spa and pools), which transports you into another world - an indoor and outdoor spa (you have to go naked in the sauna's). Very impressive - we went every day.Staff were very helpful and happy. Views from the room balcony were fantastic. Make sure you visit the local town of Bereck. Very vibrant and charming.

Rooms are a bit dated but in keeping with the area really. Certainly wouldn't put us off returning. Bathroom was modern. We had a fantastic time here!
