Pros +
- I was slightly worried about the hotel, because of the comments and reviews. I am pleasantly surprised that the rooms are clean. It is true that furnitures are a bit old, but they serve their functions. The breakfast is also a nice buffet and have a nice variety of tea. The locations is great!
- Absolutely stunning building, very beautiful. We had an apartment in a side house. Very quiet, beautiful view, big kitchen/living room. Beds are super comfortable and the breakfast is very very good. All rooms nicely heated.
- Nice location. Good atmosphere in Restaurant.
Cons -
- If you are sensitive to noise like me, bring ear plugs. The walls are a bit thin, I can hear someone talking next door.
- Unfriendly and stressed waiter in the restaurant. For the waitress attention you have to fight. Food was "ok".
- Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. From bathrooms to table covers in the restaurant.

The hotel is really close to a train station – it takes only 5 minutes, so you don't need to take a taxi or a bus.For some reason we had two rooms, so there're plenty of space to use.Since the city isn't very big, it's easy to get anywhere. The building itself is nicely painted.
We stayed there in winter, so the main problem was really cold room. I'd advice to take a warm pair of socks and some shoes.Bathroom is a bit small for tall/big persons and has only a shower. The breakfast wasn't various, but still enough to start a day.
Old school German hotel with great breakfast and close to all local attractions, station etc.
Nothing really
Pleasant
No WiFi in the room. Soundproof room advertised, but earplugs needed due to the street.
super location, quiet and relax, plus great breakfast
A wonderful hotel/Restaurant!. The rooms were wonderful, clean and very charming. The service throughout our stay was excellent. This is a quaint town that is in a beautiful location. The breakfast was fabulous with a great variety of choices all of which were fresh and delicious. The restaurant served wonderful meals and the food was fabulous. The service was excellent and very caring.
it's a great hotel and serves good food, the hotel itself is beautiful and you can spend ages just looking at all the details
Check-in I was twice made to wait while others were served as I stood there. There was a mix-up on our booking and while it was resolved I was left feeling a bit second class. We later found it hard to order more beer during our meal and we wanted dessert also but just gave up in the end. It was busy but we felt mostly ignored or were made to feel second place again sadly.
Beautiful location, cozy quiet hotel, near and clean. Friendly personnel. Restaurant is also very good!
Great location, very nice breakfast, and I was given a room upgrade, which was very nice of the hotel. I would definitely stay there again.
There wasn't really anything I disliked.
The style of the hotel, the restaurant food and location, the free parking
The room was full of dust under the bed, on the windows sill (where we also found a dead insect too the very first day), under the closet. A LOT of dust. Not the room for you if you are allergic to dust. The visible parts seemed more clean.
Good
The waiting time for check-in was too long. I had to wait in front of the kitchen door for nearly 30 minutes, which was incredible.
The hotel was pretty cool with very nice deco pieces - during breakfast (it was nice, even with fresh-pressed juice) we were walking around wondering the little details - the frescas on the walls, old wine press - it was amazing!
Simple, very friendly, and quiet, despite being in the centre of the village. I was very happy here, and it ticked all the boxes, but nothing extravagant.
Very convenient to reach. Just next to the Kochel station and bus stand.
The soap in the shower was empty and the window didn't have a mountain view as mentioned. Although we had booked for a double bed room, we were given four beds. We would have preferred a mountain view with a smaller room.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Our apartment coincided to the photos. Kochel itself was cosy and picturesque. The Kochel Am Seeis within walking distance. Those who wish can also visit Kristall Therme Trimini. Who are interested in painting of the early 20th century, I advise you to visit the Museum Franz Marc. You can also reach by car or bus the beautiful Walchensee.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the hotel staff. We didn‘t wait for service in the hotel restaurant in the evening. Also we didn‘t even receive a menu card within 20 minutes. Therefore, we had dinners at other restaurants. Breakfast could have been acceptable if the waiter had completed the products on the buffet. Even more surprising (being in a country area!) was the lack of milk for coffee and the usual farm yoghurt. Waiter simply refused to supplement these products. We a lot of travel, including southern Bavaria, however, we've had is the first time this kind of attitude towards tourists.
place in a beautiful town, free big parking
very few staff both for the hotel itself and for the restaurant, therefore everything takes a long time and not higher in service. but overall positive
Quite near train station and right in front of the bus stop. Big room with bath tub as well. The restaurant downstairs is also quite nice.
Lighting in the room is not that good, quite dark even if you turn on the lights. Breakfast is also a little bit limited (but their eggs are soft boiled so it's pretty good!)
very friendly staff, room is nice and clean, breakfast is good serviced ,
if next time I can get a room with a bigger window, through which have a view of outside would be better
