The location is absolutely stunning – right by the lake with breathtaking mountain views. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a short getaway. The staff were friendly and helpful.

To have part of your office with desktop computer where people are having breakfast, and the two staff members having a argument absolutely unprofessional and totally bad

Wonderful location with view across Walchensee. Bus connection to Garmisch, Mittenwald, Kochel. Rustic design, comfy bed, local cuisine and friendly hosts.

The staff member who checked us in also served us dinner that night, very impressed. Meal was very nice and breakfast buffet with lots of options.

I had better rooms for third of the price of this accommodation. Everything in the room have seen better days. The only saving grace is the views on the lake.

Panoramic view of the lake is spectacular. Location on lake is unique.Hotel will be spectacular when building renovations are complete.Breakfast room is richly trimmed in old woodwork, doors and art.

Location was perfect with stunning views. Breakfast was good. Wifi worked reasonably well.Beds were comfortable enough. Free parking on site. Personnel was very friendly and helpful, but it seems there is not enough of them.

The accommodation is basic and in need of some TLC and a deep clean, bedside light didn't work, insulation from the window was hanging loose, dusty all around. Lack of outside lighting in combination with uneven stone stairs without handrail is a major safety concern.This was a one night stay so not a big deal but for the price paid you'd expect better. Wouldn't like to stay with 4 people in this room as even with 2 it felt crowded. Sign up that explains that room cleaning only takes place 3 times a week. Another sign explaining they only take cash payments, which seems to be the standard in the area.Special mention for the food. Not great. The semmelknoedel were the worst I have ever had, unedible.Despite the best efforts of the personnel I won't be back, as the overall product doesn't provide value for money.

Thier was no water cooker and coffee tea bags in room, it would have been great if this facility was Thier. No free internet wifi , it was mentioned 1 euro per day. Also one mattress was hard and another too soft.

Not clean . No vacuum done inside a lot of dust . No proper staff to assist. Not even a hot drinking water facility during cold weather in rooms. I don recommend it except that the view from lake is very great but stay is not worth to pay for it.

The building is designed in the classic Bavarian alpine style, which gives it a charming and rustic appeal. The structure is predominantly made of wood, which adds to its warmth and provides a delightful woody aroma. Guests staying in the lakeside rooms can enjoy breathtaking views that are truly awe-inspiring.

It appears that the hotel is understaffed, as evidenced by the lack of attention given to the breakfast buffet. By 9:00 in the morning, several items were already missing from the limited selection of bread, butter, meat toppings, cucumbers, and peppers. The croissants were dry and unappetizing. Additionally, the staff did not have enough time to clean the tables, which resulted in several dirty tables left uncleared. The staff also failed to monitor the buffet, leading to the limited food options running out without being refilled promptly.The quality of the dinner was also disappointing. The kaiserschmarrn, in particular, was dry and overcooked, and the other dishes lacked flavor.Overall, the hotel is in need of some renovations, particularly the beds which were uncomfortable and noisy. There were also stains on the walls of the room.

Super kind and friendly staff. Everyone very helpful.The food was great, I had fresh fish.The room was cozy with the window just opening to the lake. Amazing to go for a late at night or early morning walk. Will definitely return here.
