Pros +
- the staff was so friendly and tried to accommodate as much as possible.
- Good location. Uncomfortably warm and noisy for sleeping.
- Very close to the train station and places I wanted to visit. The old part of town and the Keltic museum are across the river. The Salt Mine tour is a short bus ride away. The breakfast is nice. The building is art nouveau like many in the town and has the original details. This inside has fun decorations. You can enter the restaurant without leaving the hotel. This was good as the night there was heavy rain.
Cons -
- I wish there could have been some conditioner provided.
- Noisy along main thoroughfare and with restaurant below; and uncomfortably warm during late springam and summer when outside temps rise.
- The room only had one window. So I could have used a fan the night it was warmer. But it was late at night and I wasn't going to bother for one.

Decent enough hotel one block from train station. Excellent choices at breakfast. It is old and many step-ups which were difficult for me.
Cozy traditional house with wooden floors. Restaurant with Mexican influence was close and great!
thin-walled
Good location very close to city center and all tourist attractions in Hallein salt mine, eagles nest, ice cave Werfen, alpin road Rossfeldt etc...Very good and rich buffet breakfast with Austrian products.
It is possible that you won't find a parking space at the hotel at night because it is small and there are many rooms. No air conditioned in the room, only a single fan is available.
Terrible attitude of the staff
Staying at this hotel left an extremely unpleasant impression due to the behavior of the administrator. At the reception, a question arose about paying for the room - whether the card was debited or not. I was ready to pay on the spot to avoid problems, relying on the fact that Booking.com would sort out the error. However, the administrator's reaction was unprofessional and aggressive. On the night of January 1, I was asked to leave the hotel with two children if something did not suit me. The administrator insisted that she was not lying, although I did not even raise this issue. As a result, the conversation ended with rudeness and inappropriate statements that were simply shocking. It seemed that this was most likely not an ordinary employee, but perhaps the owner of the hotel himself. What is especially unpleasant is that her words could indicate national discrimination. Such behavior is unacceptable and absolutely incompatible with working in the hospitality industry.I have never encountered such a level of unprofessionalism anywhere. I do not recommend this hotel to those who expect respectful and adequate service.
It was close to the center of the village with just a short walk to get there. Really close to the train station and had a park close by too.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice vintage decor.
No complaints. For this level of hotel and price, you get a basic, but clean, hotel room. Don’t expect any extras in the room. No kettle, coffee machine, or toiletries provided.
Staff is very friendly, breakfast was great.Regarding the rooms it's tough to rate the hotel- I have been there twice, the first room was a bit old, but very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The second room looked great, bathroom apparently freshly renovated, however, the bed was awfully soft and the room was quite noisy. So it can go either way I guess.
Rooms facing the street are quite loud, also in one of the rooms the bed was so soft I had a tough time sleeping.
Pleasant
Unfortunatelly room we had was without conditioner. Only air ventilator was available, but it‘s noisy to use ut during night…
Clean cute hotel with lovely staff
Breakfast, location, staff
No air condition (at least fan), no fridge
stay was ok, breakfast was fine too, location is very close to the highway which is a plus if you are only staying one night during your roadtrip
Airconditioning would be a real plus, rooms were warm and you cannot open a window during the evening/night because the hotel lies to a busy road and you hear a lot of noise
The rooms were nice, the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options and the staff were all lovely.
The location was in a relatively busy area, and it was warm, so with open windows, traffic and street sounds were a bit loud.
Comfortable family guest house. Perfect location for visitors to performances on Perner-Insel for the Salzburg Festival - plenty of on-site parking and easy walking distance to venue. Good buffet breakfast. Helpful staff.
No air-conditioning - but fans available.
It was in the right location for an overnight stay
The hotel is very dated. Beware in summer the rooms are not air conditioned and as it is by located on a busy road if you have the windows open you can’t sleep because of the noise. It seems it is mostly used by tradesmen working away from home so the carpark gets filled by vans in around 5-6 pm (being tradesmen they get up very early too.
Location was good and the restaurant was very nice.
The rooms where very small and soo warm, even hot, not possible to sleep even, so that was a big bummer..
Good breakfast
When the windows are closed there is no noise from the street, but the rooms has no airflow, so you must open them and the loud traffic noise hits you! Even during the night. _ Morning receptionist was super nice, the evening receptionist was arrogant.
15 mins to Eagle Nest, offers Salzburg touristic card
Noise from the street
