The hotel is close to the train station and has a large, shared balcony with a bit mountain view. The room and bed are big by European standard. It has vintage deco and furniture, which may not appeal to younger customers.

I did not like the fact that it's entirely self-service. Room key (physical key) was on the counter when I arrived. When I checked out the next morning, there's no one at the reception desk either. The instruction was to leave the key at the counter.

It is in walking distance from spa and town center, but very calm as well surrounded by woods.

Charming historic building with elevator. Room cleaning each day. Free espresso machine, fridge, microwave for use. Nice spacious sun room.

1. better instruction given about opening the gate.. they only wrote it on pieces of paper placed on the reception...expecting you to read it on your own.2. pillows3. no AC4. lack of views

Just wish they had a breakfast, even a small one would do.

I prefer to put fridge in the room to store our food instead fridge in the kitchen which all guests have access to it.

Close to the train station. Walkable to the sightseeing

Too loud at night. Cannot sleep at all at night. Can hear anyone talking from outside (guests talking from next door, people’s phone call, neighbors using the stairs and drinking and talking outside the window and doors.)

Wonderful place, nice staff, just minutes away from the station and city centre. We loved it.

The confirmation email from Booking.com said check out at 10.30 but it's actually at 10 witch was a bit embarrassing when the staff knocked at our door and reminded us that we were supposed to be gone already.

Great location, just across the street from the main train station. Very convenient.

The only downside was I had to drag my heavy luggage uphill and it was quite steep and was breathless by the time I got to the front entrance of the hotel.

The location is great which is 3mins walk to the train and bus stations.

I had a wonderful stay at Sonnhof in Bad Ischl! The location is absolutely perfect—just a very short walk from the train station, which made arriving and getting around so easy. The guesthouse has a beautiful garden that’s perfect for relaxing, especially on a sunny day. I also really appreciated the self-service area where you can enjoy tea and coffee anytime—it’s such a thoughtful touch. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a warm smile. I truly felt at home and would definitely stay here again!

Such a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing hotel and it feels like home. Very well located with an amazing Staff. Christian was friendly and recommended some great places to eat and visit. Overall one of the best stays I've had for a while now.

On arrival I was told my booking was cancelled when in fact I had rebooked later dates owing to a flight cancellation.

This is a very beautiful house with collection from all over the world. It also includes flat wood floor with sunlight and greenery for yoga lover. It is near the station( just across the street of the main station ) but very tranquil and quiet. Really love it’s location and unique decoration

1. There is noise leak due to the wooden floor and it’s partition. One might hear next door’s travelers’ voice. But this is very minor problem considering all it’s benefits. We directly talked to our neighbor to lower down the voice. 2 Coffee is very nice even though breakfast is not included.

The hotel location is great. It gives you privacy and at the same time you are located in the heart of the city. There is charming garden on the hotel territory, hotel furnishings is also interesting. It is a mixture of styles and antic items, I will definitely remember it!The rooms are clean, you get white bed linen and white towels! There is no breakfast in the hotel, but guests are allowed to use public kitchen and dining areas for a self service, coffee machine and tea is available too.Hosting family is very friendly and helpful.Would be glad to return! .
