Theater Hotel Salzburg

I loved the location. It's a ten-minute walk to the shopping area and Old Town. The breakfast was very good.

The guy that works in the morning at the front desk-acts like you are bothering him when you ask a question.

Buffet, location and some staff members are great. The girl on the reception was very nice. Even the dude at night was very friendly. I did not like the person in the morning one day who was little rude. Breakfast buffet was good.

We got a twin double bed room with no ac :(. Bed sucked big time.

The staff - Markus in particular- was friendly and helpful.

Having a/c in just one room is less than ideal. Guests in one side of the suite were comfortable while guests in the other were very warm, even with doors open between the two. But we know a/c can be uncommon in Europe and are appreciative that you have the one.

We walked from the train station with lots of luggage, in about 10 minutes at a pretty brisk pace-- wasn't bad at all.....a taxi would have been very quick. We were also able to walk to all the main sites easily, and the main street the hotel is off of has all sorts of wonderful shops and cafes, as well as a grocery store. Breakfast was classic European wonderfulness. Loved all the tasty/healthy options! Bed was super comfy and room was quiet. Very clean too.

Honestly, there really wasn't anything that I can write that we disliked....maybe that the elevator is somewhat small? Really though, for the night we were there, I can't complain about anything.

Nothing. It was perfect for our stay in Salzburg. Easy location to explore Salzburg. The manager was very friendly and super helpful.

Great location, kind staff and nice room with comfortable beds. Loved that they had an option for three people with three twin beds.

We were satisfied with the hotel. The room was clean, the breakfast was sufficient and the lady at the reception was friendly.

There were no good hotel toiletries in the bathroom. There was only soap in the shower, the same at the sink.

Very good location. With in reasonable walking distance of the Old town. Very friendly and helpful Reception and restaurant staff. Very spacious Standard room with a big bathroom.

Rooms are a bit dated (due to age). Old carpets in the hallways makes rolling your luggage difficult. Replacing the carpets with hard floors (as in the rooms) would be better. Coffee in pots at every table is a good idea but, it does get old quickly. A modern coffee machine would be a huge improvement at these room rates.

This hotel is like going back to the 70s, where you need to crank the key to get light along with a metal key to access your room. But I LOVED the experience! The staff was amazing, super helpful, and went the extra mile to help out. Breakfast was quite good also, and the hotel was very clean.

Passable

Was given a room next to the staircase that was really annoying as you would hear every single steps from every guest as none of step were covered with any sort of noise reducing material. It felt like people were walking through our room.

Large room with good sized bathroom and wardrobe. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice. About 10minute walk into the old city.

Small bar area. Not on the heart of the city but within easy walking distance.

The hotel was lovely and the staff made us feel very welcome, especially Marcus. He helped us with recommendations and with instructions for getting to the airport. He even booked a restaurant for us that showed no availability online. The breakfast selection was good and varied. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The location was good. It was walking distance from the train station, Mirabel plaza and the old city.

The location and the reception staff especially the sharply dressed chap in the suit , being able to park the car on site

Room too hot , didn’t want to use aircon, breakfast was very basic and lack of proper coffee all very poor quality, no kettle in room, shower drenched the floor as was terribly placed
