    Pros +

    • The rooms are cozy and clean. Shutters on the window if you want to sleep in! The staff is very accommodating! Be sure to understand that check in is at 530 pm! It is close to a bus route, so if you do not have a car, you can still get to/from Colmar with no issues!
    • The location was good for visiting Colmar and it came with a free parking. However, looking at the pictures, we expected better rooms and facilities. All in all the room was clean but the overall feeling wasn't really positive. I can imagine that renewing such a big building must be difficult but maybe some little touches can help. Newer blankets, pillows... Or showers to replace the old ones with some cracks. We stayed one night and booked two rooms and one of them came with a really ugly and huge plastic water pipe in the bathroom. The hotel was almost empty, maybe they could give us a better option? In conclusion, it's ok for a stopover during a trip and if you are looking for a parking, but for the same price maybe you can find better options.
    • We were looking for quiet and clean accommodations and found it here. No need for luxuries. Towels and soap were provided. The very friendly owner served us a good breakfast. Free parking was included.

    Cons -

    • One of the room was dusty, it could have been cleaner. Wornout blankets and the general need to refresh the facility.
    • We had nothing to complain about.
    • Room was NOT clean. Also there was a spider web on the wall. On the other hand room was cold like a cold storage. The bed was uncomfortable and NOT clean. Room was tiny I couldn’t move in it. The reception guy asked me for breakfast and he said 10€ extra per person. I said ok I will have a breakfast, it was a big mistake of my life. Because breakfast includes some piece of bread 1 croissant per person, a few butter, cheese and jam on the table no more. Not includes even water. Don’t ever think about booking this otel. Sleeping in the car even better than this hotel. I made a mistake pls you don’t. This hotel dos not deserves the price

River next to hotel and parking lot due to river view

Very clean. Everything works. Friendly, well organised staff. It is alright, but only good for one or two nights. The alsace region with historic towns is a must see.

Right by the road, loud during the night. Too expensive, small room, small bed, probably due to proximity to Colmar, still not rectified.

I didn't like anything in this hotel, I regret for what k spent there.

Everything, starting from reception, the room wasn't clean , small, and don't worth the 75€ for a night

After reading various reviews, we knew more or less what to expect so no surprises there. Amongst the things we liked about this hotel is the friendliness of the staff, the two gentleman that run the hotel are pleasant and helpful. The hotel really sticks to the checking times! so be mindful of your arrival, no late check in's if you arrive after 9pm. Room was clean, radiator worked very well, windows do open, hot / cold water run well, decent towels supplies (2 people), basic mini soap bars and shampoo/soap combined mini pack, paper cups and 2 toilet papers. Premises are kept clean, location of the hotel to center of town convenient about 20m via bus (be mindful of first and last bus out to/from designated close-by bus stop times schedule) otherwise you will have to walk 30m to nearest next bus stop, or wait for an Uber availability, quite long in my opinion. Cost to town in Uber was 21 Euros, Cost in Bolt 17 euros, may vary of time of day or season). Fair communication from the hotel if questions are sent via Booking.com. Price of per night was moderate considering the area and distance to town. Our room was switched from a large single bed room to a three single beds and wouldn't be switched or accommodated as per hotels note is within their disclaimer. My husband and I just had to sleep in separate beds, mattress are worn out and made a lot of noise when turning. We would stay in this hotel if there are no other options available as we already know how it operates and we felt safe. You are given an old fashion key to access your room. The check in is old school manual via handwritten note and invoice, no computerized check in.

Although there was a breakfast option (self paid) it is limited to a single croissant per person and several other slices of dry bread. One glass of orange juice, coffee/tea/hot chocolate option, limited cereal and plain yogurt options available, one type of fruit (mandarins in our case). No additional croissants given as they only order for the amount of guests signed to get breakfast on the day. If you are lucky (which we weren't maybe a guest doesn't show up for breakfast and you can get that croissant but you will have to be the last one in the dinning room to get it.) Breakfast is from 7:30-9:30 so be on time (10 euros per person). Be mindful of the bus schedules as if coming back to the hotel after last bus (about 5:30pm) you will have to walk from the closest bus last stop, 30m or so. Wouldn't recommended even if you don't mind the walk, but at night and no sidewalk, it's a busy dark road and you will need reflector gear so drivers can see you to avoid being hit by a car. May be different in summer time but since we went in December, that's our experience. Hotel is no frills so don't expect much comfort or convenience. My recommendation would be for the hotel to at least offer filtered water station or jar, or even run a water vending machine. We asked for water at breakfast and basically was from the tap to the table, no filtration system so be mindful to get your own bottled water. The hotel can use additional option for snacks vending machine and also make a little profit and guests convenience. Don't expect too much room in the bathroom, tight shower and very close to the toilet so you have to angle yourself right LOL. The hotel is closed to the main road so expect car traveling noises though out the night, if you are a lite sleeper bring earplugs and eye mask for headlights lighting up your room.

Staff really friendly and a beautiful black labrador

The price was rather expensive for what you get, perhaps a fenomenal season and the proximity to Colmar.

    Passable

Hotel is located on a very busy highway with no safe footpath/pedestrian crossing

Location is very good for Colmar and for the surrounding area-easy to find on the outskirts of the town, with easy access to the town centre, and a nice large car park.Staff very helpful. Room was quite a tight fit, but manageable. Good breakfast.

    Bad

There were bed bugs, which I realized in the middle of the night - 1am, so I went to sleep outside because the overall room was not really clean and was afraid I would have them also in the other room.

The people who work here are incredibly friendly and helpful. Louis always had a big smile on his face and was enjoyable to talk with. Everyone in our group slept wonderfully in the beds. The continental breakfast was good for the price. It was a short drive to Colmar (recommend parking at Parking Place Rapp parking garage) so the location was fantastic. Given the price and description we got what expected which was: a very small room with just a tv, bed and bathroom-no fridge, microwave, or other extras are in the room, which our group was fine with. Onsite parking is WONDERFUL, there were a lot of spots for guests.

The rooms, more specifically the bathroom windows and corners and the corners of the room, didn't feel thoroughly cleaned, although the bed sheets and towels were all very clean. There were 49 stairs to get to our rooms without an elevator. We had an older traveler with us that struggled with the stairs. This is not within the property's control but the left turn out of the hotel to go towards Colmar was a bit scary because the line of sight is not the best.

    Big free parkingKind staff

Bed and bed covers already worn outNon existing sound isolation between the rooms

    2AleksandarPosted on: 1-2-2023

stuff and the “location” because it was near from the Colmar old city, from other hand location of the hotel was near frequent highway and literally the cars are driving under you room window, and you can’t sleep.

the room was extremely dirty, the blanket have hole in it was very dirty, the bed and the chairs have stains on it, the toilet smelled damp and there was mold in it. there were cobweb everywhere and everything was so dusty. Besides the dirtiness of the room, you can hear everything and everyone ( cars, people snoring from the next door, other guests walking in the hallway, every time someone flush the toilet in the middle of the night, it seems that the water is coming in our room, the isolation was poor.

Great value for money, only 10 min drive from the city Center. Perfect if you are travelling by car, and only plan to spend a night

    6MayaraPosted on: 11-1-2022

The staff was really kind and helpful, and he also could speak English really well

I was with a friend in a bedroom with two beds, however, my friend's bed was broken and noisy, every time she would move the noise would wake me up. It was late at night, and it was a last-minute booking so we didn't make any request to change the bed. The breakfast is about $10 with things you could get for 5 in a grocery store - You can have only one croissant he said lol

I really liked the interior of the hotel. It was very pretty with the yellows and pinks. Everything was very clean and the personel was so kind and nice. I got to check in a lot earlier than I was supposed to and was very grateful to get out of the rain after riding my motorcycle. It's a good spot away from the traffic and the city but close enough to easily get into the old Colmar to see the old houses and little venice. They also had a very cute dog named Mowgli.

It was the cheapest stay to find for just one oversleep and fitted to the low expectation the price promised.I can recommend this place for low-budget-traveller.

The Google maps information linked to the address sent by bookings was, on the last kilometer, somehow confusing.

    1IvailoPosted on: 7-16-2022

There was a nice dog at reception.

If you like being alive do not go there by foot since there is a main road where cars go 90 km per hour and crossing is near suicidal. There were foot steps on the sheets. We were told we can not get out before 7a.m in the morning. First time the staff commands me like that. Dirty all together smelly and actually disgusting.
