Waldcafé Hotel Restaurant

Pros +

• Beautiful hotel and restaurant tucked away in the woods. My partner and I had a fantastic stay at the Waldcafe. Our room was spacious, spotless, and offered a lovely view of the surrounding nature. The location is brilliant, right at the start of many hiking trails. Breakfast was spot on, with a great mix of sweet and savoury options. Eggs are made to order, and the bread is freshly baked. We also had lunch at the restaurant and it was one of the best takes on German cuisine I ever had. A tip for fellow bird lovers: the balcony room is a gem. I had a great time spotting a few local species straight from the balcony, including a European green woodpecker.

Cons -

• At this price point, I wouldve expected a kettle and some tea bags in the room. It also wouldve been nice to have an actual double bed instead of two singles pushed together.
