Gala Hotel

Very attentive, kind reception personnel. Spacious room. Excellent bathroom. Good breakfast. Easy on-street parking.

Very slow wifi. Worn and dated furniture.

Old world charm with a modern touch. The single room was spacious with a small kitchenette. Dishes and silverware just enough for One. The housekeeper gave me new towels daily. The Owner of the Hotel carried my luggage up the stairs and 9 days later on check out he carried my luggage to my rental car for me. I only ate breakfast one time during my stay but the variety of meats, cheeses and marmalade was plenty. I definitely recommend the Gala Hotel.

The Guest in the room above my room was a little bit to loud for my taste.

The bathroom was spacious and pretty clean.

The room wasn't clean with what seemed to look like cat hair on the floor. The glasses were set on the table, had black stains on them. The location was in a somewhat shady looking neighborhood.

Clean, good value with nice breakfast and newly renovated bathroom. Pleasantly surprised by this last minute booking and the warm welcome we received.

A bit older, but can add to the charm. Does have stairs from parking to reception, in case that’s a barrier for some.

Passable

It did not have an elevator and we have to carry our heavy luggages three floors up to the room and another two floors to reach the parking lot. With a baby and a stroller it was quite inconvenient.

Hotel is somehow a little bit far from the centre, in an old quarter of Phorzheim. The room was quite big, nicely refurnished and clean. We had no breakfast, so I cannot judge the quality and price.The advantage was free parking very close to the hotel.Very good pizzeria close to the hotel (600 m.). Excellent cuisine and friendly service, run by Italian couple: La Piazetta, Ludwigsplatz 9.

The buliding is rather old, but inside it is pretty. Traffic on the street.

Needed a bed for a night as part of a road trip through Germany, so we didn't arrive her until late. The hotel was fantastic at arranging handing over the keys outside of check-in hours. It's really simple. Messaged me the code for the keybox and was as simple as that! The room was HUGE (40) and the bathroom was spotless! We had an absolute bargain with this and would definitely recommend. Free parking at the rear of the hotel for around 10 cars. They were all full when we arrived but we managed to park on the street.Would definitely stay again!

Very nice, clean and spacious room and bathroom. Charming hotel with cosy atmosphere. Free parking right behind it. Friendly staff.

Near busy road. If you keep windows closed, noise is acceptable but not ideal. No airco. Only very few restaurants within walking distance. All of them were closed when we were there, except for a kebab place with fortunately quite good food.

Room size and location of the hotel

No Lift and the room is in 4th floor which i am not aware when i booked it . Rooms are also too hot on a sunny day and if we open the window door since those are close to the main road lot of noise. Late in the night i could able to sleep. Other wise every thing is super great.

Breakfast was superb! Staff were very helpful and spoke fair English. Room was spacious and well presented. Parking out back was free and available just for hotel guests.

Looks a bit old fashioned with the carpet but didn’t really bother me.

The family room was large and the bathroom was nicely renovated. There were 2 separate bedrooms separated by a hall.

There was no elevator and we had luggage.

Loved everything about our stayBig room with high ceilings very light and airy, comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, great breakfast (you pay extra 12 euros for adults, kids are free) which was totally worth it, nothing was too hard they even had non-dairy milk which most places in Germany don’t provide. Free parking is perfect too! We will be back.

Correct hotel for the price, very nice size of family room: two big bedrooms. Charming hotel. Easy late check-in.
